This is the maumee river thread here buddy. Nobody is using treble hooks there legally. There quite a difference between pulling a crankbait in a lake or pond with cleaner water using treble hooks versus a single hook in a fast flowing dirty water clarity river.

Point being a fish going after that crankbait had full intentions of eating it! Whereas its been pointed out that these river fish are just being snagged on outside of lips or mouth. Huge difference.

After watching that video I've probably been fishing to heavy since the Caroline rig started becoming popular at the river. I guess that's what you get for being a recluse and not fishing next to people. Watching from a distance it seems everyone struggles, just not as much as I do. I just thought guys that could make a whole drift just found a snag free stretch. Wardens or anyone watching me probably laugh their asses off. Try again next day off work. No rain for awhile it looks like...

Just got a large rain last night upstream. There will be plenty of water to feed the river for quite a while now.

I was saying for work to be canceled due to rain in the ten day forecast haha. Our ditches are full and going to ft Wayne to the maumee from last nights dump. I'll have to do evening trips with all the sunshine in the furture cast.
