I have what feels like a thousand irons in the fire right now between work, the kids and deer season around the corner, with so much left to do before the season starts. I hope to set up one place Thursday now that we got a cool-down. The good news is that a have been shooting plenty of arrows.

I'll be doing my annual birthday camera check on Friday and hope to have some good results. All the cams will be moved to low impact areas and will go unchecked until opening weekend. I have a new blind headed my way that I'll set up in the rain sometime between now and then as well. Loving these cool mornings again!

Just found out that my request for saturday off work was approved! Saturday,Sunday, and every damn morning since I work afternoons.

Crap I am not ready!! LOL nothing ever changes! We did get the last minute stuff done in Ohio like I had hoped but I still have all of our hunting clothes to sort, wash and smoke. Not to mention getting all of my licenses, the kid's and maybe momma's.

So a girl I'm seeing(was seeing) asked if I wanted to go out next weekend to some event or something. I took me a while to figure out how to put it lightly that I'm most likely going to be busy every weekend..... until February ickle:

This isn't the first time a potential relationship has fallen to the superiority of deer season lol

Better to find one now than to figure it out when it's TOO late. I dangled a $5K engagement ring in front of my wife and said: "You can have this on one conditions and that is acknowledging right now that deer season will always be a priority for me." She makes a great wife!
