What did you do for the deer today?

Been working on our fall plots. This morning I tilled this spot, broadcasted beans HEAVY, lightly tilled them in, then packed them. The young stand of beans should draw them in for youth and early bow. This is the same tower Shea shot her buck from last fall. Maybe she’ll get lucky again here!

Buddy and I put together a couple ladder stands today. I'm not a huge fan of ladders. His health is to the point he will be lucky to hunt at all. Ladders it is.

I have a couple of 22’ ladder stands....as long as you have good background cover, you should do just fine.

4 tree stands- cleaned up access points and shooting lanes. Swapped 3 camera cards. Picked out a location where we will hang a stand in the morning. Might try to hang one more out there eventually but this will at least have us ready for the season.

Dumped the last of the minerals for the year yesterday. Nothing to get excited about on camera

Just had a doe and two fawns in the back yard...the fawns are very young...only about 20 pounds. They must’ve been born late.

Put up a ladder stand in a new location on the property. Didn't realize the pain it is to put one up by yourself but a climber, eye-hook, length of rope, and a 4 wheeler made short work of it.

Did a lot for the deer this weekend. First I met up with @Wildlife and @Buckmaster as I sold my treestand setup and slug gun. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time with either of them.

I put out both feeders and filled them this weekend. Also got the stands ready to go. I do need to cut a couple of limbs at the one stand and I need to spray for wasps in the blinds that we have. Will probably wait on a cool morning to do that.
