What did you do for the deer today?

That’s funny as I have been seeing the opposite this year. Seems like the deer don’t like it as much when the water is laying in the hole. I get more pics when the ground is drier. Which this year is about never. Still get pics when wet but they don’t seem to stay as long.

Dig a ditch to drain the water out of your mineral site. I did that last year and it worked pretty good.

I got all my cameras up and running.

A bag of "Throw and Grow" Clearance bag I got a few weeks back for 6.00.

Funny thing is, I drug it with a skid when finished seeding and it smoothed everything out nicely.

Mowed both clover plots and freshened up the mineral/bait site. Didn't fugg with the trail cam, I'll let it marinate a little longer.

Spent the day pretending to be the THP crew and know what I was doing scouting three places in the hills of SE Ohio that should/could each have its own day of scouting to get a decent concept and plan. With this speed scouting I stuck to secondary ridges and ridge features to cut trails. We will see if it helps at all come season.

Picked up a great foodplot tractor and a new video camera for this year. Getting more and more excited for this season!

We finished up planting the last of our barassica plots today. Time to refresh and hang new sets.

Sprayed one last time before planting turnips and rape tomorrow. Then built a blind in the clover plot.
