The good 'ol Chevy Nova. My older brothers first car was a 64 SS. I was 14 at the time, I used to wash it on Friday while he was at work. Just so he would let ride with him cruising on Friday night. I liked his Nova so much that I started saving money for one. My very first car was a brand new Cranberry Red 1970 Nova. It cost a whopping $2782.96.

Awesome thread Dick. I have a rather large Indian artifact collection that my Dad and I built together. He told me to take it when he died but I left all of them displayed along with all his deer and animal mounts in his mancave at his house. Someday I will eventually take them, maybe if mom gets sick of looking at them. Like Hicks, I have all the baseball cards of my youth. I have probably 30 rookies of Brett favre and Derek Jeter each, along with other HOF's. Dad and I collected all sorts of sports memorabilia. I have a local piece that is a poster promoting the Lima area white All Stars baseball team against the best negro players from the Tr-State area. It's a pretty valuable piece. My nephew found a stack of them in his FIL's barn that they were demolishing. He let him keep a few. I keep anything thats valuable and old. I have a couple old steel fishing rods with reels that are in childrens sizes I believe. I have a few pieces of old tackle. I have to take the old lady to the Dr here shortly, when I return I will have her take pics with her phone and get them posted for me. I wiont ever sell this stuff. I suppose the kids will need something to sell at the auction when I croak.

I always make a point to grab Beer Coasters from restaurants I go to on vacations if they have cool ones. My collection in my bar is getting better.

My old baseball card collection is pretty good too, but I haven't added to it in years.

Baseball cards seemed to be something everybody collected. I gave my small collection to my daughter a few years ago.

The All Stars piece sounds like a great piece to own. We are a lot like you, we kept anything we ran across that we thought would increase in value. Duck decoys, Coca-Cola items, Longaberger baskets, die cast cars, paintings, Fenton glass and lots of other stuff. We have liquidated most of it in the past several years to fund our retirement years. Some things panned out and some didn't, like all investments.
