I have drove from coshcoton to the NW corner of the state 2 days in a row and have seen exactly 7 orange hunters and 2 deer. There was trucks parked at state land again and a few here and there....no one is hunting. The weather has not been the best and the forecast for tomorrow is going to suck. There will be some good ones this weekend.

Could have driven past me. Sat dark to dark. Hour and a half to go and two guys show up to hunt the 5-7 acre woods I was in. Only one had orange though. Plenty of shots. More shots heard in two days than I've heard the last few gun seasons combined.

Is that what the harvest report says or your guess? Honestly asking, I have no idea. That is insane if so!!!!
I saw a report somewhere.

Here is more food for thought.

Deer hunting was suspended in Ohio from the early 1900s to 1943 to allow of recovery of a herd decimated by over hunting.

I just meant there were a crapload of people in my area shooting. Some wearing orange. Some not.

Got to the public at 630. Hour and a half before legal shooting time, Amish in groups of 3 or 4 every couple hundred yards spread out for 3/4s of a mile or so. Drove to the other end and there was 3 vans that the Amish drive. They were driving the entire chunk of public at one time.
What piece of public?
