I’m a business developer. I’m now on my 4th new start up over the past 24 years. I’m tasked with establishing a manufacturing and distribution center for industrial fasteners here in NEO. This will occur after I create the demand and the dollars from Midwest users. Currently focused within infrastructure and renewable energy markets but all fasteners users are on the table. I was involved with Ohio’s MMJ startup initiatives before this gig.

Self-employed since 2000, DataVision Solutions.

I’m an Independent contractor/consultant within the high-tech industry.

Network architect & engineer. Data-center infrastructure specifications and designs for small, mid and large companies.

Today, I support clients remotely mainly throughout the country and from time to time I’ll have to head out to do installs.

Before that, I worked for corporate America for just over 10 years as a Director of Information Technology for Merck Pharmaceuticals & Company, responsible for over a million lives a week regarding their pharmacy operations.

Prior to that, I was an electrical contractor doing all kinds of construction work throughout the tri-state area for city, state & federal governments, including the military.

And then finally, many moons ago, I served in the USAF/SAC as an Electrical Power-Line Specialist with a high security clearance stationed at some of the most remote locations within the county.

Main reason for this post is to let many of know who I am and what I do, so there shouldn't be any doubt, or what I can potentially offer if I can. I have met many of you already personally, and I hope to meet many others in the near future @strouds. Again, I have stated that I am a Christian man that believes in helping out a fellow American, if I can. If you do read this, that's wonderful. If not, that's okay too. I am not expecting anything in return from anyone, period. I admit, it's long, but thorough, and if you do read it, then there really shouldn't be any question about who I am and what I do. If there any questions or concerns by chance, then attend strouds this year, and we'll discuss it over a beer, thanks!

Reviving this old thread for a few of, what I consider, good reasons, which is, I recently shared some rather technical information in a couple of my most recent posts.

I care for all members to know more about the specifics of my knowledge and background in case anyone of you needs any help or wish to get a different perspective on any given issue/problem or receive a potential solution in the future. It does not necessarily need to be technical in nature either as you will see my work experience is far and wide.

I am not saying by any means that I know everything, but I assure you that if I do not know something, I will either find out rather quickly, or steer you in the right direction. I have a network of professionals and friends within my contacts that I too, on occasion, have reached out for help. I will NOT offer up any unproven recommendations or solutions based of my experience or knowledge, and I absolutely will not lie to you. If I do NOT know something, I will most definitely let you know.

I have a reputation in the tech industry still today as a guy that gets things done, no matter what. Integrity & loyalty are extremely important to me and those I associate with, have worked with, whether it's on a professional or personal level, and they know that.

With that said, I have not updated my resume since 2014 because I am still self-employed and have been ever since the year 2,000 through my own company as an independent contractor. For the most part, I was a subcontractor through several other companies over the past couple of decades.

What I have done for a living ever since I have been working/paying taxes & SS from the ripe young age of 13 basically, where my very first official job was a paperboy once a week for the neighborhood, then shortly after I lost both parents at the age of 15 due to a tragic auto-accident, I was completely on my own afterwards ever since then, trying to survive this world by simply working hard, finishing high school, starting off in skilled trades/construction arena as a teenager during times I wasn’t in school.

No need to cover every aspect of what I have done throughout my past life because I know all too well that we all have our very own unique life experiences and stories, but I wanted to offer up to everyone here some of my expertise if ever in need because I continue to work today through service contracts mainly for those few clients I still have, mostly working from home via cellphone interactions and/or through our internet service provider, all done remotely primarily. I still occasionally must make a physical appearance for specific various reasons, but that is far and few in between these days. I am semi-retired and nearly to the point of complete retirement. My wife works within the same industry/field part-time, but more as database developer, programmer, database administrator or desktop deployment/administration, and occasionally a website designer. She also recently started a business of her own providing wonderful services to pet owners.

Anyways, below is the copy of the last time I updated my resume of what I currently still do professionally. Again, wish for this information to be known of how technical my background is in the tech industry along with several other different experiences and/or skill sets that include but not limited to; multiple businesses owner, all kinds of training/trainer, unrestricted CDL driver license holder for any motor vehicle operation anywhere on public roads, including hazmat, all kinds of heavy equipment experience, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, marketing, timber, lawncare & management/programs and all kinds of mechanical experience as well. Just recently completed this year an OSU course of study and in class lecture/training of a high-level form of field trauma – ‘Stop the bleed/CPR Emergency Recovery’, which basically means, I’m a potential future life-safer if push were to ever come to shove, or rather, any unforeseen critical event/situation occurs within my presence. I personally sought out that training and forked up the money to take it. I felt it was extremely important to have the knowledge and/or ability during these uncertain times, even though I have had informal training many years ago through the military and perhaps during my Boy-Scout years as a youngster.

I would say my weakest or less desirable skill is a communicator and/or speller. My writing skills are not always the greatest and I usually have to depend on others to always prove read any of my documents, memos, emails or whatever prior to publishing them. That is because my brain tends to get in the way or typically ahead of my fingers whenever I start typing something up. I'm sure many here have noticed the many edits within my posts, well, that's why. This post was not proofread by anyone in case anyone was wondering by chance or cares. I have gone through it a couple of times already, which I hope it is okay for all audiences that have read it.

Again, my resume was last updated back in 2014 just below for all to review and it's still out there today with many headhunter groups. If you do review it below, you will see a few short time frames between employers and/or jobs because I either completed the job, task and/or contract successfully and/or early – usually before expectation. That is why you will see those short time spans with either an employer and/or customer/client.

I also must update it because since then I have taken other additional educational courses since, or I choose not to list all the others within the original list. I have within my possession either diplomas and/or certificates of documentation as proof of all my educational achievements stored in a safe place for anyone that requires it.

I still get many emails and calls today for additional new work all over the country, which I usually turn down regularly for a whole host of reasons that I will not go into here within this public setting. However, if you wish to contact me, you can easily PM me through this system and I will do my best to respond as soon as possible. I am not looking for a job or to make money from anyone here on this site, so let that be very clear. I’m just simply a guy that likes to stay busy and help those in need that I care about, that’s it.

Might as well post it up here. I work for Southeastern Equipment. I am a heavy equipment and Environmental equipment operator and mechanic. Before moving to ohio last year I commercial fished for the past several years. Went to college straight out of high school and got certified as and EMT/paramedic to fall back on… been in and out of heavy equipment since I was 18 though. A little background on Florida Man lol

I serve as the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Corporate Partnerships for our local community college. I'm a project manager by trade, with tons of experience in business development. My job is a 50/50 split of those two areas of operation, with some marketing mixed in, which is what I went to school for. I also sit on 3 Boards and Chair 2 committees outside of my "day job", so there's plenty of work being done for those roles, too.
Looks like the day for updates...

I took over as Executive Director for the Southeastern Ohio Port Authority in March last year. We do not own boats, nor do we operate outside Washington County. Port Authorities are, generally speaking, the primary type of organizational structure for economic development agencies throughout the state. We focus primarily on real estate and infrastructure development projects. I've also added a few boards and now serve on 8 boards total.

I’m retired, been since 2014. Was in the Air Force and federal service for 35 years as an aircraft mechanic/supervisor. Much like Rick stated, I knew when my start time was, just never sure about the quitting time. Usually it wasn’t bad but there were some of them days that you hated..... The deployments were where the O/T came into play. But you were away from home anyways and it didn’t much matter.... Now I create my own schedule and do what I please when I please 😂This is what you all have too look forward too and work too achieve....
I’m still retired, just in a different location now….. 😳

Ok. I'll play. I mow lawns, landscaping, snow plowing, and parking lot sweeping for a living. Manage real estate. Own and manage/maintain rental properties. I'm also a part time race team owner/driver (which is not even close to as glamorous as it sounds. Lol)
