I pan seared some deer tomahawks last night and had it paired with sautéed asparagus and baked potatoes. Started the ice cream churn before supper with some fresh milk in it and my wife baked some from scratch brownies. She made a chocolate sauce to top it with and I'm telling you....I could have died a happy man.
Brunch: Fresh whiskey infused pork belly bacon(neighbors cuts), scrambled eggs with cheese, croissants with my pepper/peach jam and Taylor Byrnes decaf coffee(I normally don’t drink decaf but this was very good) and OJ.
Fired up the Traeger today and rolled smoke over 3 slabs of bb pork ribs. MC honey hog and honey bacon rubs then laid meat down onto brown sugar, butter and honey before foil wrap till time to pull out of oven for 30 minute rest. Delicious, I wasn’t mad at it! Lol
Finally made use of the grill I took off of @Dustinb80's hands after Strouds. No complaints from this guy or his family. Locally raised and butchered t-bones were the perfect way to break it in.
Wife baked some wild turkey legs and thighs in the oven yesterday. Today she deboned them and made a brown file’ gumbo if you will. Pretty good, no pics sorry
Shrimp scampi and a weird but wonderful salad with leaf lettuce, radishes, sweet peppers, cauliflower, bean sprouts, grape tomatoes, grated carrots, and Feta cheese. Home made Italian dressing.
Johnny Marzetti, well, technically Jamie Marzetti. Featuring homemade Parmesan sausage, ground venison, canned Chanterelles, Chicken of the Woods puree and fresh Basil, Oregano and Parsley. I decided it was picture worthy halfway through dinner, lol. Nancy made some fresh French bread and desert. Stay tuned...
