Bacon deer burgers and fried mushrooms... if the good Lord made anything better than this he surely kept it for himself!
Venison shank barbacoa. 14 hours at 180 in the immersion circulator. 2 hours on the Traeger 225. 3 hours braised in barbacoa sauce. I've made some fine burritos in my day, none better than these.

Phase 2 had them so tender I couldn’t get them back on the smoker without breaking up the KC slab.....

My favorite local IPA and their Happy Amber is also a good choice as well. The Psycopathy has a slight citrusy taste to it but will get you there much quicker than any Bud Light could so drink it slowly. Lol

old skool tonight. blackened venison loin, sautéed fiddleheads, mashed potatoes, and a red wine/soy sauce reduction for dipping. probably my all time favorite venison recipe.
Smoked a couple of chickens for the week. Was a damn fine spread tonight. Also had a veggie tray, spinach artichoke dip, and shrimp cocktail.

Thanks. Just stocking up. I'll portion it up, vacuum seal, and freeze it. Then when it's dinner time just thaw and throw the bag in some hot water. The wife uses the pulled pork for all kids of recipes like tacos, enchiladas and salad, sammiches, nachos and the list goes on. Just doing my part.
