What's good TOO?

Finished laying pipe today for our outdoor wood boiler. 220' in the ground, thru the basement wall, up under the floor of the shop and thru the cement, and backfilled across the drive way. I am sore from the last two days of drilling and chiseling thru the slab of my shop floor and from shoveling and raking stone/dirt. It was a pretty darn good feeling to know we are on the home stretch now.

Best part of this was my conversation with my foreman before he left. He asked what time we were starting tomorrow. I said, "I dunno. Want to go squirrel hunting first, then work?" He lit up. I am either TOO laid back, or have a bit of Redneck/hillbilly in me. lmao

Finally had time to start on me and my old mans euro mounts yesterday. They should b finished up by today! So far, so good!

That is awesome Gordo!

Wish I could say I finished my boiler install today but squirrel hunting in the morning and taking a sick youngin' to the doctor killed my productivity. Tomorrow the boiler gets set, the pipe is hooked up, the wiring is connected, and the heat exchanger goes into the plenum on my furnace. Hoping to fill it and fire it up this weekend! Should be great. Temperatures are supposed to be low to mid 50's. Insert sarcasm smiley here.

Haven't updated for a bit, but I am done with this install. Everything for the outdoor wood boiler is buried, plumbed, hooked up, wired, filled up, and working. House is a very comfy 72 degrees, and the shop I have no clue. I guess I lied. I still need to wire in the fan blower and thermostat for the heat exchanger in the shop. I am just letting it flow the hot water thru it currently. Good enough to get some heat in there, just not quite good enough for a steady comfortable heat.

Having the bulk majority of it done is TOO TOO TOO good though. That was a dandy of a project. Wiring in the fan blower and thermostat is a 20min deal. Just need to clear out some stuff in order to wire it in.

Awesome stuff Hicks and right before Christmas, your family has got to like that.

Thursday was my daughters 11th birthday so I got tickets for the Ohio State Girls basketball game Friday nite and we had a great time. Its a lot better than the Mens game my boy and I went to last year as far as kids go. We sat right near the floor and Brutus came over and we got some pics with the kids. She says she wants to go again next year TOO.

That is Awesome! Memories as such last forever!

Good stuff Aaron and Diane! Memories for both of your families!

My wife and I feel blessed. We decided to help a family this Christmas. We decided on a family we knew and a dollar amount. We planned on delivering it today. Just going to this person's work place and asking a customer outside to drop it off to the manager. We don't want the person to know it is our doing. Sit down to eat lunch after church and tell the kids "Today is the day." Talked about it with them and why it is important. My youngest son, Garrett, gets up from the table and goes to his room. He comes back with $50. Keep in mind, he has been saving since summer for a guinea pig. Just last week he had enough saved up to buy the guinea pig, cage, and food stuff to get started. I think he needed $65 and last week got some money putting him at $72. He just handed it over with tears in his eyes. We told him he didn't have to do this. He looked at my wife and said, "Christmas is about giving. It isn't about getting Mommy." Talk about bringing a tear to a grown man's eyes. I am dumbfounded by my son's show of generosity. Something tells me I am going to need to round up a guinea pig and hide it until Christmas. After all, Christmas is about giving.
