It's always great being home, especially when you're no longer just a day trip home. Found this in my room my dad Musta dug up. I made this probably 4th or 5th grade art class can't believe he still has it ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428066713.208097.jpg

Sounds like a good season already taking shape Ric.

That's a cool pic Brian. I have never seen one of those birds around here. It amazes me the difference in wildlife the state has just a couple hours drive.

Yep guys, it's looking good as far as tree stand time!

I jump woodcocks all the time when I shed hunt in the SE and SW! I usually flush the same bird 3-4 times as they don't fly much more than 50 yards each time! Lol

I've walked to within a few feet of them when they hold real tight which is pretty much the norm.....as well as them pooping on the initial flush as well! Hahaha

We have woodcocks around here. Those little bastards scare the shit out of me sometimes when they flush out 2 ft in front of me as I'm walking along.

I am out with some duckhunting buddies from work putting up some new wood duck boxes and replacing broken ones this afternoon. We are alittle late getting the new ones up this year so they wont likely be used until next year. Also I ran into a good number of liberal duck lovers that think what we are doing is great until they find out we are duck hunters. Our response is how many boxes, nest tubes, and hours have you committed to wetlands and waterfowl conservation. Their answer is always zero.
