What's good TOO?

Felt sooo good to shoot last night finally!! It had been so long that when I readied to pull the bow back I was preparing myself for the letdown that I wouldn't be able to budge it LOL!! I was wrong, came back so quick I thought heck I should add a few more pounds to this LOL. By about the 15th. round of 3 arrows I was shaking trying to hold it steady and laughing at myself for being so out of shape. Shot mostly at 50 and then when I went up to 20 it felt like that good ole slam dunk!

Got new strings for the bow, going to buy a new rest, and get rid of the 12 yr old limbdriver, new stab, and some new arrows. I am also going to turn it down to 65lbs and get it on paper. I want to get that comfortable feeling back with my bow that I haven't had in 3 yrs.

I saw people water skiing the river yesterday......are the fish edible or eat at your own risk?

Edible?? Yeah they say on a limited basis...
Caught a 20" walleye during s tourney s couple weeks ago, gave it to a buddy and he smoked it for lunch the next day... Said it was as good as any he's eaten....
I wouldn't on a regular basis but some do....

We are certainly blessed with a good resource in the Ohio River. Too bad we haven't taken care of it as we should for the past 150 years.

I've shot the bow every day for the past 10 trying to work out some kinks. A few years ago when I shot all the time I could go on autopilot an drop arrows in just about wherever I wanted. I've lost that and it started with my grip, then carried over to my follow through. It took about 4 nights and 80 arrows to get my grip sorted out. It's taken another 100 arrows to get the old follow through back. I've got a tweak to make to my release and I should be close to the old me. My last 4 arrow group at 40 tonight was in a coffee can. I feel like a new man and it's a major relief to have some confidence back in my shooting. For me, that's too good!

Indeed it is Jesse. Good stuff. I need to follow suit. Between work, kids, and summer get aways, I have only shot a couple times. Shame on me. Good on you though. At the rate I am going, I will be lucky to see a tree stand before November. lmao

Kids go back to school! This is a huge milestone in my house. For the first time in 11 years our house will have a scheduled time with no kids in it… I'm pretty sure I'm taking a beer with me to the bus stop in the morning.

Got a big doe hide back from the tannery today and gave it to the landowner as a gift for letting me hunt. He was quite surprised and he liked it.

Been doing a little shooting myself lately. Put the new Trophy Ridge React sights on and was as easy as pie to dial them in. On the 3rd night I robin hood a couple. Arrahs are too expensive for that.

Tomorrow it's off to the Hospital for the arrival of our baby girl. C-section scheduled for Noon.
