Just spent 3 hours with the kids and MIL walking some trails, foraging for edibles. Black Raspberries aren't ready yet around here. The boys had a blast eating wild Strawberries and Mulberries. They figured out real quick which were ripe and which weren't, haha. Hopefully next weekend We'll get a bucket full of the raspberries. Scouted out some wild grapes that we will be getting later this summer as well. Kids are bathed and passed out now:smile:

Gigged my first frog tonight. I'm 4 for 4.uploadfromtaptalk1466310420575.jpg

Made this sweet gig out of a piece of bamboo I had in the garage. So I have 4 frogs in the sack now and my buddy Sean and I are hitting another spot.

Good looking gig, Chad. 8 croakers isn't bad for your first night out. I've actually never used a true gig before. I've always just spotlighted and grabbed em with my hands. The gig would probably reduce the misses I bet.

Jimbo, you gotta try it. Mine has 3 sections 4' each that screw together. 12' sorta stacks the odds!
I think it'd be fun to try. I just usually go with a minimalist approach when it comes to frogging. A good tactical LED flashlight and a stringer is all I need in most of the places I frog. Spotlight em, creep in, snatch em, crack over the head with flashlight, attach to stringer... and repeat. Most of my spots are shallow wetlands so I can walk up on the frogs no problem. If I was running a ditch or canal where reach was an issue then a gig would definitely be the cat's ass.

Some of the bikes at the Lima Half Mile. It is under new ownership this year. I got a chance to chat with the old owner/promoter of the event and his wife. I've known them and ridden with them and their son since I was a kid. Good people. I hope the new ownership transition is smooth for all. Tons of Bikes and lots of good racing so far. Finishing the semis and then onto the mains.
