62 nova not sporty. That's classy and sporty. I'm impressed with the durango. We get 23.5 on interstate with it

You are correct. It IS sporty. Just saying, we both have 11-12yr old sub $10k vehicles. We are both content with them. That is exactly how we were able to afford a sub $10k toy to dink around in on the weekends. I have seen guys who wive's demand brand new $40-50k vehicles and have them trashed in 2yrs. Wreck them. Ding them up. Never maintenance or wash them. It is truly TOO Good my wife is happy with her "Barge" as she calls it. lmao

Enjoy the process Jesse. I used to love doing that. Anymore the only accessories I add are V-plows, in bed salt spreaders, and some caution lights. It isn't quite the same. There is a great satisfaction and pride associated with dressing up your personal ride. Enjoy it. Maybe someday i will get to do that again.

Hey i feel you man. That's great. I have my old truck by choice. My wife trys to get me to look at new ones all the time but I'm content with the one I have. I do have a new car. First one I have ever had but my job demands me to be there rain or shine at any time. If my phone rings i am supposed to already have my clothes on and moving. As far as my wife's car she has kept it up nicely for the past 3 years. We had a baby and had to get a new car so that's what we decided on. I see your point tho. Some women demand a new car every year and trash it. You see how she keeps hers up. In time I want a play car but not untill my daughter is big enough to help me build it.

The wife is hard on vehicles, she gets used 2-3 year old lightly used low mileage vehicles. My tundra is the first new vehicle we've bought since 87 and with small kids I wasn't going to drop he money on new when used fit our needs and we lucked out with sound reliable vehicles....
My trucks paid off off here shortly and we'll be looking for another one for her to have....

I feel ya on the gas milage. My truck get about 12-14 if I'm lucky. It's a 04 1500 Z71 4x4 with the 5.3 and a auto trans. I guess that is a pretty common gas milage number for others just sucks with going from a car that took 20 bucks to fill up and lasted me 2 weeks to filling up every week for 50 bucks. But I love my truck and I'm so fortunate to have gotten the deal that I did from my girlfriends dad on the truck. It just turned 86,000 and I only drive about 20 miles a day max to work and to college unless my girlfriend and I take a trip somewhere or I go to the bow shop. I put a Rough Country leveling/ lift kit on it about 2 months ago and put some 33's on it with 16inch American racing wheels that I found on craigslist. I ended up only spending around 150 dollars for the kit, the wheels and tires, new inner and outer tie rods on both sides, and an alignment. I sold my old set for 650 and I bought the wheels and tires for 450, the kit for 150, moog inner and outer and then I got an alignment which was awesome and I'm so glad with how it turned out. Here is a before and after pic

All this vehicle talk and I finally got to do something I haven't done my entire life: dress up a vehicle with some aftermarket parts. I was in company vehicles for the last decade and it meant I had very little choice in what additions we made to vehicles other than tires. Today I ordered Mastercraft Courser MXTs and a black brush guard for the truck. Tomorrow I am ordered a topper with roof rack. I have a light bar for the brush guard already and some LED lights for the bed. I'm stoked about getting everything on it and having a custom fit vehicle that really matches my needs. For me, that's too good!
You're going to love having the topper on your truck. It's handy as fuck. For anyone who hunts and/or travels, it's about the best addition you could ever put on a vehicle. It's going to make your trip west much more enjoyable, I guarantee it.

Check out this gangster ride. 'The cream machine'. She's a good'in. 1986 f250 diesel power. 78,000 miles. My tundra blew up back in April(happy birthday Gordo, ha) and after my buddy let me borrow this truck he finally sold it to me. It spent most of its life sitting in Washington State. I still can't get over the condition. Hardly any rust at all. Hopeing to get at least 300k outta of it. Solid ass work truck and easy to work on compared to all this newer shit with computers. Still need a ride with 4x4.......
