Today marks our 36th wedding anniversary. We’ve been together for 4 decades. If we’d of gotten married the first year together, it’d of been the 40th.... I was a slow learner back thenWell I guess not much has changed in that department though
Unfortunately the wife is in Ohio spending the week with her mother. So just another anniversary we’re apart. Isn’t like that hasn’t happened a lot over the years

Got my Illinois gun tags last week and archery tags arrived yesterday, so I'm good to go.. Just gotta get my general hunting license and habitat stamp... Guess I better get that this week in case they stop selling licenses to non residents due to the virus... Would suck to have over $700.00 in deer tags and no hunting license....
Got my boy in a Bobcat tonight for the first time. He did remarkably well. Can't believe I let him run it 1/3 mile back and forth thru our woods with logs on it. He figured it out reasonably quickly. The pile was decently stacked. Proud day for me. He generally doesn't jump at the chance to do firewood. This might change things. Lol

Awesome phil! Sorta did the same thing with levi last weekend. Mostly to make dustin look bad but he still enjoyed it

@giles I'm liking it. Helps when he is pretty well stationary and swinging the stick in one radius. Garrett's first trip out of woods to unload and drive back I was pretty nervous. Figured is find him with the log rounds and skid loader wedged between 2 live/standing trees trying to unstick himself. Lol
Yet, pretty awesome for both kids. That is a fantastic starting place for Levi. I don't want 5cent's kids anywhere near my equipment. I don't have enough pry bars to get them out. They'd be in there for a week straight.
Enjoying another sunrise, a little Foggy this morning but it hasn’t stopped the critters from making their presence known....
Start the fall groove this AM, finally......wife back to work in the classroom, oldest 2 back in school for in person teaching for the next 2 weeks, little man to the babysitter for watching/preschool work

Went crabbing today....not too great...only got 21 in 6 hours. Two years ago at this same spot I was catching 2-3 per trap, averaging a crab per minute. Better then sitting home and we’ll have crab for dinner tomorrow.
