What's good TOO?

My son's soccer team won today. I know. Sounds like "Whooptie do. So what?" Well. . . .In the fall season they tied their first game and lost the rest. Combined scores of all tournament games last fall was 0-59. Yes. In 6 tournament games they never scored a goal last fall. For the first games of the season being the three tournament games played yesterday and today, they are off to a much better start. What a relief to see the boys win one.

Heard about 20 gobbles at 0700 while filling up the water boiler this morning:pickle:

Sounded like they were roughly 2-300 yards away.
 
Had a flock of turkeys in my bottom pasture on Saturday just gobbling away and hens carrying on. Sounded great as hunting is just around the corner.
 
Tonight was a great night to be alive. Got home a little early this evening, so I hopped on the tractor and rode around with my little girl. We picked up sticks and grabbed some logs I cut last week. Ran a tank of gas through the Husq cutting up a tree I downed last night. Drank a beer while I grilled, then sat on the back deck and listened to the peeps light it up! Just finished reading books, doing flash cards and wrestling. Hard to beat evenings like that!

Here's my little helper picking up sticks. She was pissed when I told her we were done!

Can't beat days like that at all Jesse. Soon enough she will be a teenager and you will be the worst person on earth for a few years lol. Take them now and hold on to days like this for when those ugly teen years arrive buddy.
 
My wife and I were babysitting my 3yo great-nephew last night. He saw the latest copy of The American Rifleman with the new polymer framed Sig on the cover and got all excited. Must be genetic.
 
Have you ever discovered something you have but never gave much thought about, that turns out to be quite valuable. This means nothing to a lot here, but most of you know what cast iron means to me. My dad gave me a cast iron griddle years ago to take camping. The damn thing weighs a ton & there was no way I'd ever take it anywhere. I accepted it without saying much & he never told me anything about it. He had it wrapped up in the garage all my years growing up. I had no interest in cast iron at the time. I belong to a FB cast iron cooking site & a light recently went off in my head to take a closer look at it since I recently found those two skillets. I do use this during the summer to place coals on it for my dutch oven cooking out on the driveway. It's a 1950's era Griswold #11 / 911 28" model. Just something to make this rainy day a bit better.

I hear by the grapevine that Geeeeezer had both knees replaced. I had both knees replace but one at a time. The ole fart has my balls than me. Remember him and hope he does well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Hope all went well with his surgery! Have a speedy recovery Geezer!!!

Took my family to Deer Creek State Park for a little spring break the last few days. It was a bit windy but weather was great! This deer hangs in the lodge lobby. Not sure when it was killed but it was found dead by the park rangers after deer gun season.
Mass out the ass on this terribly mounted deer!




Had a great time and got plenty of R&R TOO!
