The redwood empire kind of reminds me of a Sazarak with the tea taste but a little better imo

That Russel's Reserve is what I did our Christmas turkeys in for the bourbon spatchcock recipe as well as bourbon ball cookies we made. Was a great taste to both and still had plenty to sip on in between the holidays. Definitely did not disappoint there.

New distillery shop only in New Richmond Ohio. They are sourcing whiskey from Indian. Its six year old,they plan to have a sourced bourbon next year. The whiskey is named after Ulysses Grant seven releases for each battle Grant was in.
I just finished my second bottle of Russels Reserve on Saturday. Very enjoyable.
Another pour of AE tonight at the end of a very productive day with these cooler temperatures. Refurbished a WT bourbon barrel and cut up a few nice loads of firewood for our back patio fire pit. Time to swill and chill

I need to refurbish another barrel cuz they’re going to be apart of the base of my gazebo bar. It’ll be a fun project with no time limit. Lol

My bourbon journey has not been going on long, so I am a real novice but I've tried at least 15 different bourbons that I could get locally, many of which I read about here and trusted you all had good taste. Not many losers so far, but I got a package in the mail today that I have been waiting anxiously for. I couldn't help myself and got the top off of the bottle as fast as I could for just a little taste. Blown away. When I get done with this, I'm going to go sit on the swing and enjoy a real pour. This might be the best bourbon I have had so far, and from a local distillery to boot. Came highly recommended from someone that is a real bourbon fanatic.
I enjoyed the middle west a lot. Price point was a little higher than I thought it should have been though. Seems like it’s mid 50’s whenever I see it in Athens.

Mommas 60th birthday weekend and we are hosting at my house. I think we have it covered. Tried this bondstone at total wine. Great pour. The “Rickhouse” bottle is a much more genuine and deep pour with great elements throughout. But the double oak was just that. Oak elements throughout and a bit more harsh of a pour. Worth the money though, without a doubt. Can’t forget the variety of beers either lol or the claws
