We located 3–4 in a group this morning, a couple of jakes but one bird sounded to have a mature chuckle. Those birds will likely bust up even more before season.

I am lazy. I don't scout until about 3-4 days before the opener. I guess it doesn't matter to me what there doing now. All I care about is where they will be youth season and April 18th.

Up here in Northeast ohio thought the snow we got last night would screw them up but we got one gobbling good this morning at 6:56. Til the neighbor took his dog for a walk and spooked the bird

I've heard gobbling 3 different days the past 2 weeks while shed hunting mid day. I just continue on my way. I guess they hear me busting limbs or walking loudly and shock gobble a few times then see me and then shut up and move away. Lol

Funny thing is they'll move right back in the next day! Seen lots of scratching TOO!

heard 5 on sunday w/ 2" of snow on the ground lol took a guy out that's new to turkey hunting and musta looked like a pro. We climbed this one ridge bout 7:15am, it leads up to a flat as I was walking up I go we're gonna kill one here on opening morning. Before we crested the ridge a bird let off no more than 75yds away. We snuck up and peeked over, he kept gobbling and flew down, put on a little show for us probably was 50yds out at the closest.

Let it be told it was dumb luck on my part lol
