Yep.. Billy currington in a tiny hole in the wall beach bar on Tybee Island GA. A story best saved for Beers and a fire. Lets just say we're not pen pals.

I also met James Brown in another hole in the wall pool hall in Augusta Ga in 1999. This one however was a riot. He was there not for the hype but just because it was a small hole in the wall where he coould go just like anyone else. I happened to just stumble upon it while on a weekend pass in the Army.

Turk hunted with Eddie Salter when i was like 13.. Back in MS. He was doing a seminar and pimping his calls at a small Archery shop called Rebel Archery in Vicksburg Ms. One of the door prizes was a turk hunt with Eddie. Nobody bothered to tell us it meant we had to take Eddie hunting the next morning on our property. lmao.. That boy had ears like a yote.. In the pre dawn darkness eddie heard a bird shock gobble on the roost that my young ears couldn't even think i heard. We went up and down 2 hollows in the dark, Snuck over the rim of one and sat down.. As daylight approached. The damn bird was roosted above our heads in a tree about 20 yards away... "oops" with a slight chuckle Eddie said..

I met Mayor Coleman once crossing the street in Columbus.. He had 3 other brothas with him that were either pimps or black Southern Baptist preachers. This was right after he succesfully lobbied for a .5% increase in Columbus city income tax.. The word "prick" slipped out my mouth as we passed.. Coleman had a WTF look.. The other brothas just laughed hysterically..

I met Bill dance on Eagle lake in MS.. We were crappie fishing, he was out by himself Bass fishing.. It wasn't hard to spot him as he was flying up the lake in his Tennessee hat.. He motored up slow and we chatted for a couple minutes. He told us where he marked a butt load of slab crappie..

Met John Grisham in Ms. I played little league baseball with his son. At the time though i think he was still a Senator in the Mississippi state legislature and working on his first book.

Oh.. And Me.. :)

I'll have to go back over my memory banks and try to remember the infamous people I've met ove my lifetime....

But the famous ones.... Sam, CJD, And the most famous of all................................................................. COB...........lol :smiley_clap:

I met Jimmy Houston, in a small hardware/sporting goods store and got to talk with him for a while. Nice guy and a great sense of humor.

I was in Kalamazoo, Mi. at a Traditional Bow Expo and met Fred G. Asbel, Barry & Gene Wensel.
While shooting at the Traditional Bow Nationals, in Cloverdale, In., I met Jerry Hill. (Howard Hill's nephew)

I was about 20 yards from George Bush ('88 to '92) and Bruce Willis, when they landed at the Allen County Airport.

Shot a 3D archery course with Roger Rothaar, in Upper Sandusky.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

How that's something I'm jealous of!

Bass fishing guy's I run into a lot.... Hank Parker, Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance, Tommy Biffle, Mark Menendez, Kevin Vandam, and one guy who has a sorted past but after talking to him and seeing how he works with kids I can over look his past descretion. Roland Martin....

Sam Kinison, Brad Garret, I met in Vegas. John Amos, Just off the top with out sitting down and thinking over the years lol.... You meet a lot of people while deployed making the rounds too differant bases. John Amos was a nice guy who spent time with us but I thought he was a lot bigger than he actually was lol.... Then there where the politicians making the rounds which most I forget..... lol....

I had a great conversation with Ted Nugent at the Detroit airport. We did not meet Lemmy but when a buddy and I went to see Motorhead we were screaming obscure requests and Lemmy told us to shut the fuck up.

( he came to the real estate office I worked at because he grabbed the wrong luggage... He was horrified when he opened it at the hotel and saw womens clothing in it. We all had a good laugh when he came in looking for the lady in our office it belonged to.)

I have met some baseball players and a few athletes. I guess I don't really consider them celebrities. Reach the Michael Jordan level or a level where they are known for something other than their athletic talent and I look at them more as a celebrity.

I have met many flat track racers and several GNCC racers or National Hare Scramble/Enduro racers. There again, not really celebrities unless they become a major name. Most all of them (with a couple exceptions) were really down to Earth.
