6:45AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022: 'SHYBUC' says, 'Good Mornin TOO'zers!'

He also said that I need to replenish the feed trough because he's scrapping the bottom of the barrel. So, I need to get my butt in gear and take care of the feed-station today.

Well, evening feeding was about to begin minutes ago but, I scared them off trying to get one of my mutts back in for the night. They'll be back I'm sure of it.

I'll be attaching any additional future TC captures from this evening to this post as they happen, only the ones I deem worthy of sharing anyway.

Enjoy!

5:30AM,Thursday, December 29, 2022: "There can only be one"

Only one deer showed up last night or since my last update and that was it. I'm actually shocked by it to be honest. I even took a short drive moments ago and did not see any nearby. It's amazing how these animals disappear one day and reappear the next.

I'll be busy today, so most likely, any further updates regarding deer today, will be shared late this evening or in tomorrow's journal update.

Have a great day 'TOO'zers!

Saw them this morning before I left for the other farm. This afternoon while heading out to the fed sites I noticed their fresh tracks all over the area in the mud.

Well, while taking care of the fed location inside the cornfield, I see movement to the north not even 50 yards away, and yup, it was them.

20221229_155542.gif

They didn't seem to be bothered by me being within the area. They just casually headed towards the big pines and finally out of sight.

Now back to work for me...

All feed sites are currently dead and this is why ☺️

20221229_171941.jpg

I kind of expected this or predicted this. Pretty sure I mentioned something about not seeing deer later in the week due to the rise in temperatures. Well, our deer are most definitely venturing out further away, seemingly looking for those different foods and to regroup with those familiar faces once again.

All the photos were taken from inside my pickup truck utilizing my Samsung Android Google Galaxy Note Ultra 22 cellphone camera. I was on my way home from the other farm and spotted the two different groups just before I pulled into my driveway.

___________________________________

Same for tonight as I did last night for current trail camera snapshots because it's been very slow at each feed site, I'll attach those that I deem worthy as they come in tonight. One just showed up @theotherfarm, First one to hit that corn since I replenished that spot this afternoon @3:30pm.

3:40PM, Saturday, December 31, 2022: 'Brief Update'

0d13a106-2da3-44af-8f3c-772c8a337b9b.jpg

Beating yesterday's deer numbers showing up in front of one of any of the three cell trail cameras today so far, which really isn't saying a whole lot when there was only one to beat.

I attached a gif showing all of today's deer and the their seems to be an increase in activity at both locations/farms just over the last hour.

20221231_155707.gif

Since I'll be up late tonight, I'll add whatever trail camera captures throughout the night, right here to this post as they happen or become available on my Tactacam cellphone application for everyone's enjoyment.

Happy New Year 'TOO'ville!

I've been in constant contact with Russ since yesterday, texting back forth during the games until shortly after midnight, having a good time.

Well, this morning, the text messages kept coming and I cared to share his last one sent to me that I ❤️ with you all.

Pass it around if you'd like 👍

Denny GREAT JOB.... Enjoyed the video of the first deer of 2023... Happy New Year to you and the family....

TYVM! You wannta know what the real beauty of it is though, Rich? I made the video all from my cellphone in a matter of minutes and I didn't have to leave my chair for a second while doing so.

I'm truly amazed how far things have come within our hunting world really. Taking advantage of today's technology is really a whole different topic in itself that I really do not what to get into here, but I really have been enjoying it while I can. There is no way I would be able to keep track of this many deer in the area, in this amount of fraction of time back not even ten years ago. Pretty neat stuff in my book, and I hope to take all of what I've got even a step further, which is to broadcast 'LIVE' whenever I choose, soon coming.

So, thank you again, and 'Happy New Year' to you and your entire family! Glad you enjoyed it truly, that's what it was intended for.

One might say that I have a slight obsession, others may think it's a passion, and I, well, does it really matter? I just love wildlife and deer just so happen to be at the top of the list because I eat them the most out of all the others.

So, you could say, our backyard woods are basically my fresh vision meat locker 🤤 , but trust me, all of this took time, money & work, which is still work in progress.

This should have been our best year, however we all know the sad reason why it's not. I am optimistic for next year though, looking for hopefully a slight rebound in numbers, but I know it's still way too early yet to confirm or be positive.

It's deer activity such as this evening, or today, that has me quite hopeful of the future around here.

20230102_005157.gif

Regardless what I've shared regarding deer here @home, My estimated number of the local herd today compared to year ago had reduced by at least half, but I believe it is more like two thirds are gone for good, approximately 20 deer, plus or minus two.

11:00AM, January 2, 2023: 'SLOW'

The only deer to show up in daylight today at any of the fed sites of mine so far.

a6acaeb4-32dd-4ff0-beb5-f2a4f8349eec.jpg

I took a ride around the block as well a little bit ago, took some photos along the way.

20230102_102732.jpg
20230102_102805.jpg

Soon gearing up for some coyote hunts, which I'll be validating each coyote rifle of mine soon onto the target that is 200-250 yards away. A target that I specifically use to zero both rifles for 200yrds.

I usually use a target shooting matt setup at the 200 yard mark, in the prone position, in between the big pine trees nearest to our road, then shoot towards the wooded creek area. If the rifles and optics are good, it typically takes just a couple rounds for the validation process. I will be doing that soon, probably over the next few days.

20230102_104918.jpg

BTW, anyone interested in hunting coyotes, and wish to partner up with me, shoot me a PM. I'd be more than happy to have you join me whenever I make my way out for any sets.

I love shooting coyotes, just so everyone knows!

Anyway, this is his very latest drop, which I believe it's a super good one. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Very wet and rainy outdoors and has been since yesterday evening, but the weather doesn't seem to slow 'SHYBUC' down any cause he's been to the feed site several times all throughout the night, visiting at least three different times last night.
