10:00PM, Saturday, January 14, 2023: 'Deer & Woodwork Duties'
It was nice to get out after being coupled up the last two days because of all the nasty wet rainy weather.
Scioto River is still overflowing her banks when I drove over it this afternoon too.
All the cutting business was originally planned ahead of time, and since I still have a deer tag, I went ahead and took care of all the deer stuff as well. I worked at the other farm this afternoon until shortly before sunset.
I also included additional deer TC captures from that property of just prior and just after my arrival and departure there. Hope you all enjoy, and good night!

Since I fully intend on hunting for one more deer with my compound bow, and I originally planned on cutting down some more trees at the other farm today, I also decided to swap the SD card & batteries for the Tactacam Reveal X cellular trail camera as well and lay out another 50 pounds of whole corn for the deer since it'll be possibly a couple of weeks before I get back to them again.
As I was wrapping up for the day right at sunset, deer were already feeding at the feed site, also right at sunset, and while I was leaving the farm, driving down the road, I looked over and saw several deer standing all throughout the cup area and the far back east edge of the cornfield, nearest to the woods and the big pines, making their way towards the feed site.
I also found my work eyeglasses that fell out of my pocket during my last time muzzleloader hunting. I knew that I dropped them in the cornfield shortly after it happened, but I could not find them in the dark, even with a good flashlight. I knew I'd be able to find them in daylight, and I'm darn glad that I did too because they're my last decent pair until September.
Anyhow, all the work I accomplished this afternoon is what I consider to be normal work duties for that property, which is to clear timber, including any deadfall and take care of all the wildlife too, not just the deer. Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
