Guy calls me last night, tells me he's got a liver hit and that a tracker in Pennsylvania (hunter is in Ohio) told him to wait 24 hours. I said 8 hrs on liver be good. He wanted the 24 hr wait. He had to make arrangements because the people were going back to Pa. So I told him I would work with him however he wanted. He said he would let me know what time he could be there in the morning. I told him to let me know one way or the other in case somebody else called. At 1 o'clock I finally said "did you go get the deer or something?" and he sends me a picture of another dog with his deer.

And here I was right on wait time. Deer was shot in the front. Dark blood was artery.

Got the priveledge of tracking for a TOOser today. Henry III contacted me about a track. Blood was a tad dark and there was corn spewn in it as well. Arrow did not smell good and we treated it as a gut hit.
Rained really hard during the night. Maxx didn't seem to care at all. Soon as he hit where the deer crossed a tractor path, he lined right out and was "chewing tail" before we even knew it. Here the shot was good but the leakage was quite deceiving. Again, TOO people just know what to do. Any doubt~~Back out.
Congrats Henry! Nice deer and thanks for trusting Maxx.
Goooboy Maxx!
