I will probably never do another shoulder mount. It would have to be a 180+ and it still wouldn't happen more than likely. I am very frugal for one, I remember the hunt with the euro just as well, and they take up so much space. Did I say I was frugal? lol

Earliest picture of my & a deer. My grandpa killed this one in 1979 during the West Virginia gun season.

Finally, 20 years later I killed my first one. Not a monster by any stretch of the imagination, but that deer started it all.

You are not alone Beener. I will have 2 shoulder mounts when this year's archery kill gets back. I think it will be euro mounts from here on out unless I get an absolute pig. We just don't have a house with a living room to accomodate them tactfully. My wife says "one dead deer on the wall at a time". I say, "We'll see." I need to finish my mancave, but it is not a big enough room either. 10x10 section of attic which is going to be finished off. Won't hold many deer heads in there.

Couple more dead deerz....

The lady that lived in the house behind me actually came over and asked how long I was going to have the deer hanging in the tree like that. She said it was scaring her kids. I was renting a duplex in Upper Arlington at the time, so that explains things. The neighbors on the other side were an older couple in their late 60's. The doorbell rang, and they were standing on the steps, slightly crouched down when I opened the door. The wife puts her finger to her lips and says, "Shhhh, go get your gun Sean, there's a huge deer in the backyard!"

Cute story about the little old lady on your steps Curran! My neighbors could care less what we do. I try to hang them in the shop, but there have been deer hanging off the front end loader of the tractor and the bobcat before at my place. One each, but I am sure there will be more in the future.
