Funny you mentioned the 6.5x55. I'm in on a group buy on another forum. We found an importer willing to order lefthand Zastava Mausers. Lot of calibers offered. I went back and forth between the 6.5 and 7x57. I finally ordered mine in the 6.5, figured I'd never get a chance at another like it. Btw i ordered with the double set triggers.

NICE! Love the mauser action. 6.5x55 is a hell of a cartridge! Pics once you get it ;)

This would be a combination of my Left Handed Savage (model116) 300 Win-Mag and my Savage (model 16) in .243 and my S&W 460. (see signature on Specs :))

Shot a .22 Savage bolt, Winchester .32 lever, and an M4 spec to West Point's training guns and got to introduce 2 people to guns this weekend.

Oh, and picked up this vintage piece...Sam what do you think the appraisal is?

Nice solid rib m12 Jim! Great wood, is it original? What gauge? Oh and the beaver's work is pretty cool too!

BTW you still got that Gibbs wasting away in the back of your safe? :smiley_bril:

I just got this one. I have plenty of hunting arms, but I'm not really a gun-nut as some of you are. This is one I have always wanted though. Can't wait to shoot it!

Thanks Sam
Yes. All original. I think Gramp paid $37.00 new back in the day. The wear on the bluing at the front of the receiver is where he carried it all those years. That 20 Gage has harvested everything the state has to offer. Its priceless.

The Gibbs was just lovingly wiped down the other day thank you.

Brock, you can try to deny it but anyone that owns an M1A is a certifiable gun nut. Also it's a law (or it oughta be) that if you own an M1A you need to keep a couple thousand rounds of ball ammo around.

Soon after I posted I realized that's the gun you brought to the big bunny hunt. It really is a very nice old gun!

Yeah, well funny you say that. I have a couple cases on the way. Only 1600 rounds though.... :)
