Decided to go for a change today. I skipped the morning hunt and have been here an hour. First time hunting this feeder this year. I'm not expecting a shot on the corn, but maybe I'll have deer feeding on all the pin oak around me. Sure is a pretty morning since the fog burned off. Here's my new veiw!

Nothing but squirrels so far. Had four at the feeder and three more around me at one point. Think it's time to stand for a bit, been sitting since I got here.

I have had all more activity around me the last couple days. Monday 3 does and 4 bucks. this morning 2 bucks. I have seen an decent 8pt the last 2 mornings. Today I had he broadside at 6 yards today, I was already standing with my bow, and decided not to draw back. I have seen a NICE 10pt a couple times, and figure I will let my cousin drop that 8pt if he is still hanging around this weekend.

I sat from ten this morning until dark. Seen 9 turkies and buttloads of squirrels.
Guy to the north of me started brushhogging the property line at 4:45 and stopped a few minutes before dark.

Hunted this morning. Got into hang out in the climber a bit late. Pissed at myself. Had deer blowing all over. I suck. Did manage to see a small 6pt and button buck come under me. Could have killed either of them, but it was doe or big boy. Didn't see either. Frustrating hunt. Should have just worked those extra couple hours this morning.
You keep some crazy hours bro, and that's coming from a College kid! Any morning in the hunt that you can hunt is a good one - and those where you see deer are even better.

Hunted this morning and saw 2 good ones but no shots. Hunted all day yesterday and only saw a small buck at 8am, nothing else all day. Be back out tomorrow but seems like the big boys are on their feet now where I am in NE OH.
Thanks Steve. We have been busting our asses trying to get leaves cleaned up while they are dry and clean up easier. Parent teacher conferences this morning ended hopes to hunt. Dang hot today, so I took my wife out for a date. Not getting busted tomorrow. Getting up at 3am (which should give me a good solid 4hrs sleep) and taking a different path in. Longer, but better for the winds for SE. Hunting a spot I have never hunted. It is where I saw "Madd Mass" last Saturday with the doe in the field. I hope to catch him horny and on the prowl in the morning. Will keep you guys posted if successful.
Whatta dreadfully slow morning! One lost small 8pt, 3 turkeys, and plenty of squirrels. Still sitting though. Can't kill them at home splitting firewood which is plan b.
