More so than you think, 4" on his beams, his tine length is short, but his mass and 17" spread grew. Next year, he will make the hit list, as a 4.5 year old cull buck. IMO.

I found my #5 shed about an hour ago. It's been about 4.5-5 miles of walking since my last find.
It carries nice mass and no chews and appeared to have fallen this past week sometime.
Found a nice rub TOO along with a dead young deer and a dead young Turk. Yotes have been eating well at this farm. I'm gonna try and get yote hunting permission. Here's the rub.

Ron sent me a pic of his #8 he found a half hour ago.
He'll be hitting it hard till dark and all day tomorrow and I'm done prolly till Monday.

Haha, good one Jimmy. I will be hoofing it tomorrow. There's a honey hole that I haven't been in since last spring. Hope I don't bump any bucks in there. It's still early, too be doing much tromp in around, but the curiosity is killing me!
Yes it was a lot of walking! I walked in the woods some but the entire perimeter though. If you look in the far gap in the first pic that back field doglegs to the left another 3/4 miles and is 400 yards wide. Definitely burned some calories today and after slinging 50-60 LB sacks for 10 hours tonight this dude will be spent! Lol
I hope to get out alittle with my girls on Monday. Sunday will be spent taking my CCW course most of the day.

Keep it up Ric and Ron! You are off to a great start! Covered some miles myself yesterday to come home empty handed. Just a touch early for us I think but I will be out tomorrow after a couple hours of cutting firewood.
