Beat the slump monkey in my blind we just put up this evening if this morning doesn't work out.

That's the plan.

Nothing going on out here, did have a squirrel decide to stand on top of our blind and bark for about 5 min.

No deer showed this morning, just a couple turkeys. Gonna move him to a new spot tonight with higher odds.

It sure sucks driving to work on a beautiful cool day with the moon overhead.......:-(

Had action tonight from 4 15 pm to very last light around 7 20 pm. Moon was directly overhead a little after 6pm. It was the most action that I have had in awhile. Ended up seeing 6 deer total. Would have never have hunted tonight if it wasn't for the moon.

First sit of the season for me tonight. Two small bucks pretty much kept me entertained until dark.

Hit the re-set button on my brain and got me just to where i need to be. A thing of beauty. Still smirkin about how much i enjoyed myself

Don't rush a good thing, Ric. It's a long season.

I know buddy, but I feel so much anticipation to go and hunt I feel I can't get burned out right now! I have plenty of stands for all different wind directions and wish I could get out and find these more mature bucks. It seems TOO long since I've actually bowhunted, and actually it was, last Halloween:-(

You're right though, better days ahead!

Seth, sounds like a great hunt!

I can't wait to hunt this new farm this weekend! The corn just got shelled and there have been some nice bucks taken at and around this farm. My buddy and I hung a stand in late july on the a few yards inside the wood line along the corn field. Another buddy of mine hunts this farm and lives next door so he is going TOO show me the way in the dark.

Scratch that, buddy had to eat at McDonalds. Late start, bumped one deer comin up the hill. Quiet morning till around 9:00.

Flubbed my opportunity to put a doe in the freezer, ha broadside shot at 25 in some thick stuff. She turned and walked out towards me, she was at 15 when she turned again (to my right). Shoulda shot but didn't.

Sittin on the shoulder of a saddle, great spot next month and a good bedding area for does.

Good luck to all this weekend. Was hoping to get out this morning. Worked late. Bed at 1, up at 5am to hunt. Ate breakfast and fell back to sleep. Maybe Sunday night or Monday morning if I am lucky enough to get out again.

Bow hunted an urban spot this morning. Had 1 little doe come in first thing but that easier from the stand. Turns out 8 more doe were bedded 100 yards away that I bumped on my way out.
