Didn't end up seeing anything last night. Was sitting at the property that I am having issues with. Think he's got it so buggered up its not funny.

Just got settled in. Sitting on a spot I've been seeing deer in the evening. Just been waiting for a west wind.

Settled in 30 min ago myself. Bit windier than I expected. More or less observing tonight. It is wallhanger or none tonight.

Still raining here, but I bet some deer are moving. My buddy and his son were supposed to go out in the morning. I'd love to get a call tomorrow to help trail and drag.

nothing. The wind was swirling around and blowing my scent back into the woods. it was coning out of the west, but coming back in from the field and sending everything east into the woods.

My clothes were presmoked and stored in a tote in the jeep. i went straight from work so i was still a little work smelly. Didnt think i needed to worry about it with a west wind. Should have been blowing my scent right out into the field behind me as the deer were coming in from the woods in front of me.
Hunted morning and evening and saw zero deer. Was a little surprised because of the front coming through, but then again the moon wasn't great and we are coming off gun weekend. Pulled out of the drive this morning and where I hunt and there lay a big dead buck hit on the road, rack cut off. Makes me sick. Haven't gotten a picture or observed a mature buck on the place all year. What a way to find one.
Tomorrow evening should be killer as well as Saturday morning. Moon rise at sunset tomorrow and moon set at sunrise Saturday morning. Should be something good moving. TOO bad I will be working.
Wish you were right Hoyt. Sadly the only thing dying was my spirit. I was skunked tonight. Quite surprising. Not saying I expected a shot opportunity, but where I was I should have at least seen something. I had a decent field of view. Observation stand with potential for killing stand. Good gun stand. Tonight just wasn't the night.
Things which went thru my mind tonight:
Midweight gloves? My butt.
West winds? My butt. SW maybe or SSW, but not W.
What is up with this new Tapatalk update? Erased my widget on home screen and don't like the way it works at all.
And lastly, the other thought which went thru my head: Should have stayed home and cut firewood.
Just an overall disappointing sit. Can't have a great sit every time I guess.
