I'm with ya there, hard to pattern when they can go anywhere, and thanks

Drives me insane lol. Ya think ya got um and they decide to pop out 100 yards down the way lol. Then ya move and they pop out 20 yards from where ya was the last time lol. Best thing to do is wait until rut and hunt the trails in the woods and wait for the doe to pull one by lol.

Lol true, I only have a couple properties that are flat, but those are so thick they use the trails I cut for them and I only walk 10 yds into the woods unless dragging a deer out

Hunting this morning in what should be a good spot. Corn field 70 yds infront of me and a foodplot 100 yards to my left. Acorns all around and a pinch point. Wind blowing in my face

Sounds like my season man lol. I think you need to come to strouds and blast some doe with me lol.

Sounds like a sweet setup you have this morning buddy. Good luck and I hope that big ol buck strolls by in the next few minutes bro.

He just did actually. Right on the edge of the cornfield. Kinda thick in between couldn't tell if he was 100 inches or 150 lol!

I finally got back out and saw a buck a few evenings ago:69223648-dbf6-4457-aa37-3aa07afbce0d_zpsf02f3754.jpg

I hope he makes it another year. He is an 8 point and as wide as his ears. Not too much tine length, but a nice 2.5yo.

The latter portion of the ten day forecast looks promising! Good luck this weekend if you guys are headed out.

Did anybody get out too the woods this weekend? I managed too make it out both mornings but both was short sits. Saturday was shortened by rain, but I did see my first shooter of the year. I took my daughter for the first time she was pumped when she seen the buck. I tried calling him but he wasn't interested. Then this morning took my boy out and we were underdressed so the sit was short too managed too have a doe and yearling under us but couldn't get the boy steady for a shot and she wouldn't stop. But all in all a good weekend. Haven't had much time the last week, we have been busy trying to finish up cutting beans but I'm gonna be out there this week almost every night weather permitting.

Taylor got us on the board as soon as he posts his doe.

I only had today off and did not get out this morning but I did make it out this evening. Watched a doe pop out of the woods around 5:30 and she went right back in. She came back out around 6:10 or so. I didn't think she was going to make the 300 yards before it got dark but I watched her anyway. She flipped the white flag and ran back into the woods around 6:30 and shortly after I found out why. There was a buck that came out around 6:45 and hit a scrap on the field edge and then went back to the corner where he came out. Even though I did not get a shot at any of them, I now know where I will be setup next Sunday evening when I get a chance to make it back out. Every evening sit I have had the deer seem to come out about the same time and in the same general area. I will get something here soon.
