Had 2 more spikes and 4 doe come out near dark thirty. Just out of range. Them doe are flirting with disaster with two boys and itchy trigger fingers.

Had 6 deer come out at last light. Hadn't heard or seen squat up until then. Didn't work out the way I hoped. No bloody arrow for me tonight.

So after my climber fiasco today,!i went to another stand and sat. Well after 2 does busted me and ran, I was just about to climb down out of frustration, and when I went to grab my now to put things up, I see antlers coming my way. No way, it's gator. I've been after him for this is my 3rd yr now. He walks my way, turns and heads to a licking branch, the into the feild 30 yds. 32 to be exact, and stands broadside. I draw back, and for some reason I wasn't calm at all, I was nervous and like an idiot rushed the shot. Right over his back. Clean miss. I'm so mad at myself.

Dude, I now you're pissed, but we've all been there. All you can do is laugh it off. I missed a dandy last year and I just laughed to myself all the way back to the truck like Clark Griswold when he had the Hap Hap Happiest Christmas. Now it's just a distant memory.
Oh, who am I kidding. I'm still pissed and you should kick your own ass like Red said. I'm kicking mine right now. In fact, I'm kicking mine for the 11 point from last year, the 10 point from 2009, the 10 point from 2005, the 8 point from 2001, and the 12 point from 1996. Fugg me!
