Well, today, I finally got my riding mower back from the shop. It needed new steering gears & shaft. It only took over a fuggin month since some of the parts were on back order. I happen to stop by the shop today & they told me it was ready... which that itself took a spell since they couldn't find the work order. Then the gal there said she tried to call me last week, which NEVER happened. So, today as I was finally mowing my shitty looking yard after all that time, the fuggin drag link broke !!! Wait, this is suppose to be a What's Good thread right ?? Anyway, I called the place & they claimed they never messed with that area, which I believe & they said they could order one. She was gonna call me back. While that was happening, I called another place & they had one. So, I ran in to town & paid a good price. When that bitch called back with an outrageous price, I told her I had a brand new one in my hand & that her price was terrible. I had it replaced all in an hour from the time it popped off. Then, I got my new driveway & the yard all cleaned up. Sorry no pics, but what a wonderful feeling to get that all done !!

Missed out on hunting this morning. Why is that good. Did so I could hear the chamber choir that my daughter sings with. This choir finished with a #1 rating at state last year.

My buddy rattled this one in this evening. He said it came in with his tongue hanging out breathing heavy.

What a great day. My son and I are teaching a young lady to hunt. Besides practice shooting, we've been going over where to aim on a deer and when to shoot and when not to.

Tonight was her first hunt and a nice size buck came in, under 20 yards. However, the buck came in at a funny angle and never presented a nice clean opportunity for a shot. On her own decision, she passed on the buck, because she was not sure she could make a clean kill shot.

I am so proud. Just really, really proud.

Something I loathe during the reloading process is processing military cases (extra steps). Feels good to get another couple thousand sorted (the worst part) and stockpiled.

I didn't get selected for jury duty! Although it might of been interesting, it was a murder trial. Sat at the courthouse for 4 hours before I got to leave. The defendant was in the court the whole time.

I've been watching a friends Black Mouth Cur named Georgia while he is on a TDY. Having her this week has reaffirmed what I already knew to be true. The Cur Dog is the best breed ever thought up. We are talking about a dog that was breed to do every job you can think of. My last Cur Dog Bell could hunt, tree, herd, point and act as a guard dog. They were breed by southerners, Appalachians, and settlers of the Ohio River Valley. My boarder collie heeler mix Juno is a great dog but she cant compare to my pervious Curs.
Yesterday I took Georgia and Juno to Elbe Forest to work a mock blood trail. Georgia has never done any hunting or nose work in her life but she picked up he track first and found blood faster than Juno.
Having Curs in the house is also a joy. They don't bark without reason, beg, or get into thing. Georgia's owner better not extend his tdy or I might end up stealing his dog.
