2015 Summer Gathering - Mingo Sportsman Club - July 24-26

This is one of my earliest hunting buddies from HS years. He was a Captain for Miller, and lived on PIB year round. He died 3yrs. ago this coming Monday on his way home from work on his 4-wheeler. I feel your pain Ben.



But, this is a good group of guys who are respectful of each other and their property, and others property. Anyone acting like a dick on a 4-wheeler will get set straight quickly. Mike is putting his name on the line and we owe it to him to take care of the place and get invited back again as guests.

That said Mike, when are we all to square away on the rent?

I'll collect from everyone when we get there. Will probably end up being about $20 a person. If that more than covers it, I say we give any extra to TOO operating expenses. Just my opinion.

If that doesn't cover it, we will pass the hat to get it covered. I just need to pay on Sunday.

If i make it saturday i will hang out at camp with ya Greg. We can fling some recurve arrows at some tennis balls with judo points.

I'll be in camp most of the day on Friday. I have no real desire to ride quads unless a deer is dragging behind one.

I am not driving my dually that far in order to be able to haul the quad or dirt bike. Drinking and riding isn't my thing anyway. I prefer drinking and playing with camp fires.

I heard "couple nice beer stops" and read too far into it. My bad. I'm still too cheap to drive a dually just so I can haul a quad or my KTM. There will be plenty of other stuff to do. I look forward to meeting many people I have not yet met in person. Chad, Ric, OhioSam, 5cent, Moundy, Cotty. . . Dang. I think there are more I haven't met than I have met. Looking forward TOO it!

Yeah, don't look too much into the beer stops. We take a few breaks along the way. One is in a tunnel with a train overpass above. The other is at The Owls Nest. Really cool high wall above the creek. A beer may be opened at each stop. Lol

Not a boozing expedition unless you make it one. Some guys do. I don't.

The ride is a good one so if you can bring a quad, side by side, or dirt bike... You'll be glad you did.
