Last winter I was 205. I weighed in at 173.5 this morning. Cut out all pop, no fast food, go to the gym about 3 days a week and eat healthy. Got rid of most carbs and a lot more protein to put on more muscle.. Went from wearing 36 inch waist eans to buying a pair 30s today...

Good job man! That's pretty close to my goal, just not doing the gym thing. I felt my best around that 175 mark. I hardly ever (maybe once every 2 months) ate fast food, but I've been craving it since I got active again.

How I feel after this weeks work load...2 more hours and I'm maxed out for the week at 78 hours! So I can't work tomorrow, could I possibly get ass in a stand?

I got hired full time and it's decent paying work close to home. Not much of that in my area. Most people travel or commute for work around me. Or farm...those guys have it all in this area. I don't know of any other places around that it's normal to see King Ranches and Denali trucks with $20-40,000 beds on them.

Great Job Guys! Stay with it!

Like most guys I got a little flabby during my thirties. In 2009 I had enough of the "Dad Bod" and dropped from 215 to 170. I am 178 this morning.
I make time for the gym and eat better. I feel great.

I'm still hovering in that 213-218 neck of the woods depending on the day. I've slacked a little on my diet the past few weeks due to being extremely busy. I ordered a 24-Day Challenge kit off Cotty and plan to start it November 2nd. My first meal off it will be Thanksgiving dinner! LOL.

The goal is to hunt hard and eat clean in November to let the Challenge do its thing. I hope to be in the ball park of 205 on Thanksgiving morning.

Google "Advocare" and you'll get info. Advocare is a newer supplement company that sells their product via pyramid marketing, like Mary Kay and Thirty-One. They have a kit that's designed to cleanse and boost metabolism. I know several people who have done it and it's worked well. The biggest con I see is most people go back to their old diet and gain it all back in a month. I've spent the past 18 months educating myself on proper diet and nutrition, while slowly changing the way, and what I eat. 80% of my meals are real, whole foods and I've eliminated nearly all processed foods and sugars. So I'm not afraid of relapsing and wasting my money. The other concern I had was some physicians feel the cleanse portion (basically a laxative) will deplete your good gut bacteria. The kit comes with a probiotic, but I will continue to take my daily probiotic along with the one supplied by the kit.

Cotty is a distributor, so if you wanted to try one, he can help you out.

I understand that things like that and Weight Watchers work for people. However no two bodies or metabolisms are created equal. 5 out of 7 days, I don't consume more than 1,800 calories and guess what? Still not losing weight. I'm not a big one for counting points or calories, although I do keep a rough calorie count more often than not. I've used the app before and it's a great app, but it's not a cure all either. My body simply wants to weigh what I weigh right now. Unless I can find 2 hours a day to exercise, which I don't have, I'm not going to lose weight. The Challenge is worth it to me because I think it'll get me to my target weight and that I'll be able to maintain that weight without much difficulty. We shall see...

Thanks man. It would be easier if I had time to exercise, but I just don't. Thankfully I'm pretty active. Someone said something to me at Strouds about how I never really sat down. I try to keep on the move as much as possible, which helps.

I've got around 15 lbs I need to lose for my powerlifting competition next fall and even though it doesn't sound like much, its going to suck. Since I started training I am just hungry all the time. I could just eat cleaner but I love junk food. I just need to man up and quit whining about it.

Myfitnesspal app.
It works jesse and it's free.
Lost 25 pds and have kept it off.
All about staying under your allowed calories.

Great app. I have been tracking calories daily for 5 years now.

Most people don't need to exercise to lose weight. All that is needed is a caloric deficit. Simply put, eat less than your body needs and you will burn fat. The most important piece of weight loss equipment isn't in the gym or in a bottle at GNC. Its in the kitchen appliance section of your local walmart. Its a digital food scale.

Unless you weight and track you food you don't know many calories you are really eating. End of story. Most people grossly underestimate how many calories they are eating. In fact its the reason I continue to weight my food and track my calories. I want to know everyday I'm eating as much as I can while achieving my goal.
