I am going to hunt just found out I got off work!

I am also taking a buddy of mine who has never killed a deer. He has helped my group of friend butcher probably 100 over the years but never got one. I am hoping to get that accomplished for him.

I went to Athens today to pull cards and it is a MUDDY mess!!! And of course more rain forecast for most of the next 5 days.

It was good to see on the cams that at least 3 of the better bucks survived the gun season and there are little bucks everywhere.

If I remember correctly the intent wasn't to limit participation but quite the opposite. They said they moved it to increase participation as they were concerned with Christmas being on a friday this year they expected people to be spending Saturday and Sunday with family or traveling back home.

My dads taking both days off and we're heading down to a farm in southern Ohio. Some huge deer have been seen there this year and I'm pretty excited. This'll be my first time using a gun in Ohio in five years.

Yep. I have intentions in hunting both days. I just hope there's a couple shooters still out there. Our lease and surrounding farms lost plenty of mature bucks so far this season! Ugh

It's looks like 90% rain all day on Monday. My problem is getting safely across my creek in the morning. It can go from 2" to 3-4 ft then back to 3-4" in a matter of hours as everything is down hill here. If I can hear it roaring I know I can't get across. The other side is my only best hunting area.
Still plan on 2 full days of hunting in my tower.

Same issue I have to deal with. I'll pass on hunting the next couple days and stay safe and dry.

Taking a buddy out tomorrow who is new to hunting. He killed his first ducks on his first waterfowl hunt yesterday, hoping for his first deer tomorrow. Taking the wife out on Tuesday for her first hunt of the year.
