got up this morning to see a guy beat me acrossed from my house didnt bother me to much i didnt see or hear any in there last night went to another spot down the road and didnt hear anything either so i came to work.

Monday was good as I got Bird #1 down....spent the last two days trying to figure out where the hell the birds disappeared to...come to find out they moved to the complete opposite side of the property and other guys have been slaughtering them.....Day 1 there was 12 Gobblers....Day 3 there is 9 lol.....Oh well happy the other guys had some success as well and congrats to everyone on here that has harvested so far.
The 2 big birds I've been seeing by my house are MIA. I've heard a dude across the road every night playing Jethro Tull on a peacock call. I suspect he's boogered them up...

Watched a silent Tom fly down very early. Gobbled once on the ground. Strutted to 60 yards. Hens flew down towards him. He strutted around the point with them in tow. I went after others, passed on 7 jakes. Got the early bird to gobble in same spot he went to at daylight. Next gobble was 100 yards farther away, next one farther. Now have a game plan for him next trip there.
Killed bird 2 this morning . Great hunt . But the day started with having guys walk in on me with flashlights when I had a bird roosted 80 yds away . The bird gobbled and strutted on the limb , then flew down and went silent and disappeared . I had him dead too till those other guys came tromping in...but that's turkey hunting .
I stayed there till 740 and then drove to a different property .

Birds were gobbling good till they hit the ground, still was a great morning spent chatting it up with my mom. She found a real nice shed too, she had to point it out to me LOL, and I still had problems finding it.

Yep. Still scratching my head on that one. Text book hunt that I boogered up with a bad shot.
It happens sometimes . Maybe they forgot to put shot in that shell at the factory and its not your doing ?
