Thanks Everyone. Back at the rig going on 27 hours and no sleep. Today was one of the hardest days I have had in years. Going man up and say I talked out loud on the drive home to Shorty, I cried and laughed. When I got home I prepped his resting area next TOO my Lab Roto under the pine tree, while I did that I would stop and take a break, give Shorty all the love I had and two HUGE plates of ice cream. When it got close TOO the time, I brushed him up and got the ATV out and rode up and down the drive way real slow for his last run.......God he loved the ATV and herding me on it. He is now in a better place without pain and running with the pac. RIP Shorty. I love you and miss you buddy.

Joshua saying a prayer for Shorty. He did not see the entire day, only after the fact and we explained it TOO him.

Tears................I should say he wanted to put flowers on his resting place.

Damn onion cutting ninjas. I know that day will come for my dog Gunner. Not looking forward to it. But he will get a big steak and a beer. Sorry Jeff.

Thanks Bro. I would have done the same thing if I would have had more time at home. I would have done burgers, a steak and anything else I could have thought off that would have been great for him. He loved Ice cream but I know your not suppose to give dogs chocolate but I figured what the heck, he had two big bowls of ice cream with chocolate in it.

Thanks Guys. Being back at the rig I thought that would help me get over this but it is not. All I can think of is my little buddy. Thanks CJD for your support, and all you TOO brothers. For the record CJD and I are brothers, I mean really blood brothers, I mean we have the same Mom and Dad, lol

Feeling a little bit better today. Last night at around 2:00 A.M. in the morning I stepped outside here at the Rig and saw the biggest, brightest, longest shooting star I have ever seen come across the sky. I felt in my heart that was a sign from Shorty that he is in heaven now, without pain and with his friends, it gave me some comfort. RIP "Shorty Short Shorts."

Shorty in his Tux as a Usher the day Laura and I got married. He truly did a great job, walking with people and laying down by our side.

Thanks Arch. I have had Labs and I love them so much but the Blue Healer is the most loyal, loving, protective dog I have ever had. He would not leave our side other then TOO chase the geese and fox squirrels in the back yard, lol.

Thanks Big Holla. He was 14 but what caught up to him was a tumor on his hip that was cancer. He could only walk on 3 legs.
