Back at it. Sun has been out since this morning, great evening for deer to take their walkabout.
It’s a rarity in NE Ohio but it does show itself on occasion BSO...
Just got settled in my Western Stand.
Made a PLB earlier this afternoon.
They're scrapes all around this setup on both sides of the creek, including in my front yard under one of our pine trees.

I’m back in the blind. A little later than I like but better late than never. 5 mph wind in my face, sunny and pretty quiet. Ready to put a nice buck in the bed of my truck. Good luck guys!

Button buck has been bugging me for half an hour.....
Been at it all day. Saw biggest buck ever on the hoof at noon. 80 yds away. Worked a scrape then walked the other way. This wind is pissing me off, it needs to lay down

Can't figure out why I didnt even see anything this morning... that spot has been a good one so far this season.
Oh well... back out... not expecting much, doesn't look like they have been refreshing scrapes. I'll sit till dark and hope for the best.

Noticed the same thing around my parts. Most the normal scrape spots have close up. It has me a bit worried. Was looking for some fresh sign today around noon and found 2 sets of nice bucks bedded down with lone doe.
Been settled in since 1 this afternoon. Nothing moving until just about 10 minutes ago when I seen my 1st squirrel of the day. Kind of strange to not have them or birds out and about.
See what happens I guess.

I don't know what I'm going to see first .... a deer or an ambulance. Almost to my stand & inserting card into a cam along the way when I hear this guy yell. He's push mowing a steep incline & fell. He must have slipped on some acorns... I dunno. I put my stuff down & tried to hurry over to him, without me falling, but he got back up and started the mower. He neversaw me. Now I wonder how many times the guy has done that... sigh.
I wouldn't have gone out so soon,but I've actually seen bucks when he's mowing in the past... lol

If there are hot does in the area those bucks won't worry about a scrape Dante. They are out chasing the real thing
