Okay,,,

I just finished up recovering that corrupted video file off my cell phone of that second buck encounter I had this morning a little before 9:00 am.

Let me tell ya, that was a chore to do, recovering that freaking video. Right where the video stops is when my phone crashed, just so you know.

Anyhow,

I didn't see any other deer this evening, which is very surprising, although many of the neighborhood dogs were barking their fool heads off, which is a pretty good indicator that they were moving, just not where I was at tonight

So, just the four deer is all I seen today.

I'd call that a slow day.

Here's that half rack buck I captured on one of my old trailcams that apparently needs some new batteries and yeah, that camera was set a little 'TOO' high. I placed it there in the dark the other day, back on the 2nd.

The pictures during the night aren't of good quality obviously, but it did it's job!

So after viewing all the pictures today within my tree-stand and after my hunt was over at approximately 2:30, I moved it over about 10 yards to the right and lowered it some, which should work better, especially during the daylight.

Tomorrow is suppose to rain some and I intend on hunting my 'Easton Stand' once again. All day if I can stand it...

Gonna be a bit windy 'TOO', coming from SW all day.

Until then, good night 'TOO'ville!

I'll catch up with you guys tomorrow at some point.

Yesterday I hunted from dark to dark out of a stand that is in the midst of several bedding areas with a long narrow standing bean field running atop the ridge above me. Had 4-5 does still in field with a solid 3.5 heavy beamed 130ish 8 point doing some nudging on my way in. I waited till I could see to get to my stand but it was still too dark to shoot but my Bino’s gave me a good look as he walked 75 yards upwind of me. The deer must have been moving all night cuz once they laid down there was little movement. Only had two deer spotted from my stand all day, a lone doe going into bedding around 8:15 and a 1.5 old buck walking under me at 4:05. On my way to truck I jumped a nice buck standing in same beanfield I crossed in the morning. I could barely makeout white beams to the tips of his ears as he disappeared into the distance. I saw several deer along the twp road on my way to Ron’s place a few miles away.
Ron hunted our farm about 25 minutes from me and got skunked.
Movement was definitely minimal during the day from our standpoint. It happens every year during this week. It’s all about being near that special doe. Most movement is definitely under the cover of darkness but if you’re in close proximity of a hot doe you are in for a memorable hunt whether you kill anything or not.
I’m waiting for this rain to pass then heading out shortly to hunt another area and see if I can hopefully be near a hot one.
Good luck TOOville👍🏻

Caught one in a trap like 15 years ago. It was froze to death when I found it. Have had it in the freezer ever since to get mounted. One of the coolest things to see in real life although been waiting for the day I see one of these fishers.

The property I hunt in PA has all kinds of fishers. I'll dig up some video.

Good luck everyone, about lost a truck door loading my daughters for school this morning. DAMN is it windy! Time change screws me for after work hunts unless I leave the office early. Friday looks to be my next outing.
