Started a long overdue project.
My brother was given a few of my dad's shotguns after he passed. Two of them my dad used when he was growing up as well as my Grandpa. The other was my brothers first shotgun. The two Single shots are 12 gauge and the double barrel is 16 gauge.

Well my brother has never been much into the outdoors so he just put them in my mom's barn and left them. He gave them to me a little over a year ago. When he brought them down from the loft my heart sank. He had never oiled them or anything so you can imagine how 15+ years in the Georgia humidity treated them. They were so rusted they wouldn't break open.

I am getting started trying to bring them back. Just pulled the barrels out of a vinegar bath. Going to re-blue them and refinish the stocks. Not sure if I will ever trust them to be fired again but they deserve to be brought back. I would love to take the 16 gauge out for one last bunny or bird hunt. Pretty sure all three were purchased from Western Auto Hardware store in our hometown across probably a 35 year span.

They aren't worth anything Cash Wise but man do they hold some memories. If they could talk it would be a great time around a campfire.

Had a new pond dug this past summer so as soon as it was done it was time to build a structure before it filled with water. Step 1...drill holes and set posts.
