That silver bowl was my grandmother's and she actually used it for family meals. My dad took it and his first dog, Lex an AKC Doberman, ate from it. He was the first in a distinguished line of good dogs to accompany me through life. Mac, my dog through high school and college, also ate from that, as did Remi. Now all 3 of my dogs eat/water from it. It's the simple things that add joy to life.

"potlickers" :)

the vet was thoughtful enough to save Lefty's tooth for me. they discovered that the small tooth behind his lower canine on the same side was so loose that it practically fell out during the procedure. so, he lost two teeth. he's gotten over being butthurt, is healing up fine, and the stitches will dissolve. no worse for the wear. wish I could say that $470 later. I swear Lefty must have been a hippie stoner in a former life. he always looks so happy when he's stoned out of his gourd, and he gets a little paranoid.

very likely he did this playing tug-of-war with Slick and a stick in the yard. of the 27,000 sticks and dead branches in my yard, they always seem to want the same one, lol. they really get into it sometimes.

It sure is a lot of work raising puppies, but we're having fun with it. What else are you going to do when you're trapped at home?!? The pic of the single black male is one I call Babe cause he reminds me of Babe Ruth, boxy and athletic. Pretty sure he's headed home with a TOOzer. The one chewing on the beer can is a female and the first born. She's an awesome little dog who is going home to my "unicorn" from high school. They go for shots next Wednesday and homebound after that!

Good looking pups man. Everyone I talk to says raising puppies is a TON of work. I think I've talked myself out of doing it, at least in the near future. I think ol Betty-girl is gonna go under the knife and get spayed. As much as it pains me to think of not having one of her pups, she's just getting too old and the health risks are getting too steep.

I spend 1.5-2 hours a day taking care of them. Constantly cleaning up piss and shit, and taking them outside. We are also spending a good bit of time socializing with them. I have all 11 coming to "here puppies" and hand claps. 3 of them know their names. I'm putting the time and effort to make sure people get a well started dog. They're eating high-end food and live in a pretty clean environment. Mom is still nursing twice a day as we roll into week 6, so I feel like I did my job pretty well as a puppy dad. Won't do it again, but glad I could experience while my girls are young. We'll never forget the spring of 2020!

The picture of all them is a really great picture. Wife and daughter I think have taken a liking to Babe, so I am pretty sure he will be making a trip to PA. LOL.

Good job. Wtf they still on the tit at 6 weeks? Should’ve weened them much sooner than that to let momma dog recover. I usually ween mine by 3.5 weeks. I don’t know what else to say besides take them off of her and get her a shot to dry up and feed the pups soft food 3 times a day.

They've been eating regular dog food for 3 weeks and will have no issue going home accordingly. I'm only letting them feed 5 minutes in the AM, and once before bed and they're separated the rest of the day. I'm no dog breeder, obviously, but it makes sense to provide them the best of both worlds while we can. Like I said, they're eating Purina Pro Plan puppy food throughout the day without any softening and have been for a full week. They'll be off the teet for good on Saturday, a full week before they go home. Might not be how some would do it, but I have 11 very healthy pups and a mom that's doing well, that's the only goal here.

Well you was right. I looked it up and they say 6-7 weeks. I never have as I don’t want my bitch to be drawn down. After they eating puppy for for a week I take them off the bitch. Either way is good imo. Carry on lol

Those are some great pics you posted. Looks like Momma is doing a great job. Showed them to the wife and said "Check out Jesse's 11 pups!" Her eyes were huge. She said "They are cute but that is a LOT of work."
