I gotta love the boy. The minute the bucks ran off he broke down crying and apologized for moving cuz he just wanted to see the bigger buck better. Lol. Good heart on that one. All good. I love him. There will be more, hopefully. Lol

We ended up sneaking out with a field full of deer. Nothing came into range. We did watch some bucks bumping does around. Forecast looks pretty good, so I'd say it's about time to get serious.
I started my boy at 8-9 and I bet it took 30-40 sits to get him to understand movement , noise etc and to finally be able to get a shot off. Since that day though he's been one heck of a hunter.
I'm out. Light rain starting up. Had a bit of movement overnight.

Hunting some NWO public again, first sit in this stand in the am. On a hillside between a big bedding area and oak flat. Perfect wind, no rain yet. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.

Lucas and I have been out since he was 3, he's been a rock! Even had bunches of turkey and deer around him before and not a worry. Kind of shows the flaws of the trailer blind, it's a little too bring inside and I'm sure they picked us off real quick. All good. He's gonna be a better hunter than me soon enough!
Lone doe cut across from neighboring wood lot about an hr ago & she was looking back. She hung around for a short bit. Nothing but a tease. I finally go back to work tomorrow, so I'm done until Thursday.

I'm out! Wasn't going to hunt today. I bumped a big buck last night on my way out and was going to let it set for a day but after seeing the big buck redneck got I'm like fuck it get the fuck out there lol. Good luck guys!
