Out early from the courthouse. So, I grabbed my climber and took off. Bumped two deer going in. One at the bait station and one at the creek bottom. Just started to sprinkle rain. Supposed to not last. No tree unbrella w/ me. Cat underneath me right off the bat. First sit in this spot this season.

Didn't get home early enough to sit. I told the kid to get something fast on in case we have to run afield. I disliked his color but he said he could move quick in it, didn't get a chance to try. I'll say deer movement is exploding, I saw a mature buck out cruising tonight on a mission. Vehicle collision, random huge buck text messages, it's all adding up haha.

Saw a nice buck swim across the scioto river today digging a doe.

Ton of deer moving tonight. Only one shooter that didn't come closer than 150 yards. At last light I almost mistook a spike for a doe. Glad I double checked with the binos.

Called (I assuming) the same buck in from last night 3 times. At one point was 10 yards outside my blind behind the reeds. He just won’t commit. Might have to be a doe for Halloween this year and sit in the mud Saturday

I got skunked tonight. I think that's the first time in the 5 years I've been hunting this land, weird!

Sure thought I’d see some action this am since we finally have a west wind. But only a fox and a garbage truck so far. And I don’t have a tag to bag the truck.

Slipped quietly in between some heavy duty deer bedding areas this morning with no issues. It's super guiet, slow so far, no wind & the ground is wet. Head is on a swival. Active squirels though. Just can't believe how quiet it is, including the vehicle traffic off in the distance. Seems like a ghost town I'm hunting and life is standing still on me, wierd.
