The itch

I'm hitting Indian tomorrow. It's a really dumb thing to do probably, but I'm going with a guy that knows the lake inside out and I'll be following him where he is confident we are good. We will be spudding the entire way. There were guys on it today. Its gonna be a bluegill/crappie deal in protected bays. Tomorrow is going to be the only day in quite a while that I'd go, looking at the forecast.

Done good on saugeyes the few times there and caught some decent pearch outa there too. Good luck. Be safe

Lookers but no takers. I forgot to pull the air line off the windmill so I couldn't reach the "honey hole". I was using plastics trying for crappie. The perch don't bite well after dark. From the looks of it now, it'll be awhile before I walk on water again.

Made it out this morning with my girls and a buddy. Didn’t do too bad. Caught a mixed bag. We caught some nice crappie in this pond a couple years ago, but none of them today??? We may give it a shot in the evening next week.

Well it's that time of the year again, I'm transitioning my deer hunting passion and migrating to walking on water. No local ice yet, although it looks like a cold snap is coming that might set up some small inland bodies. To kick the season off, I'm making a run up to the UP to chase some toothy fish on South Manistique lake. I'll be headed up Friday with Quad in tow and fishing through Wednesday. I'll try and update as cell service allows.

I’m really jonesing for some hard water fishing myself. But in a way, I’m thankful the conditions haven’t been favorable locally. The last thing I need right now is the distraction of ice fishing. My wife would kill me if I delayed getting us into our house because I was walking on water. Lol
