My brother and I hunted a lot together back in the late 80’s through the 90’s. We piled up a lot of deer meat between the both of us. Both wearing those tree bark coveralls 😂

This was the man who lit the fire in us. My grandfather (Papa Jimmy), we’d sit there and listen too his stories of hunting and fishing with his buddies. Unfortunately we didn’t get much outdoor time with him before his passing. But he lit the fuse that’s still burning. Picture was from 1933 with his rabbit dog Tarzan. I have his 16 ga. Model 12 Winchester too this day. As well as his .35 caliber Remington deer rifle.

I nor my siblings aren’t sure who’s house this was or if my grandfather was part of it. But it’s a cool picture regardless. I’m assuming since he had it he was part of it. It would been around Moosic Pa in Lackawanna county.

WOW! This thread brought up some great memories! I can't believe it was 2016 when I posted those pictures of Grandpap with his moose. Lost grandpa June 2020 - he lived to be 96 years old. Up to his last day, I could show him a big buck picture, and his eyes and mind would be totally renewed. The 300 savage he used to shoot that moose, the day I was born, sits proudly in my gun safe.

J’s Pic reminded me of a couple I had out in the cave so I took a pic of the pics. 😁.
One is me and my buddy, Jon, with the first buck I rattled in and killed. Shot him with a borrowed Darton as my Cougar Mag had blown up the week before. It was November 4, 1988, I was 16.
The other is me and my Dad with a dead turkey. Probably around 1984 or so. Same type camo.
