Hit a couple deer creek fields today. Cover looked okay I thought? Hard to cover by myself. Didn’t move any birds but hard fun.
I barely even scratched the surface. Maybe we can get together and give it a go sometime
First pheasant I have ever seen up close. Wild bird. What a beautiful bird

We finished the day out chasing the mighty woodcock. Moved 3 birds and one is riding home with us. Sadly that’ll be the last woodcock hunt of the season
Had fun today, with a view. Moved 2 birds, my buddy shot one
Moved 40 quail…two huge coveys. Bo pointed and was steady to flush on a hen pheasant. Was a fun morning
Bo pointed 2 out of 3 hens that flushed by us today. Group moved a few more hens and roosters. Good precursor to upcoming trip to Kansas

Bo certainly has the Britney grin! Ha. I love those dogs! Glad you’re getting him in some birds. That’s all you need to do. He will be great!

Kansas was an awesome experience. We put in 100 miles walking last week. Wednesday was a bust due to high winds and a dust storm.
I got some control time behind some fantastic older dogs, it was awesome to see them work running down and tracking birds running. Had great dog work all the way around.
Bo did pretty good himself. On the last hunt of the last day he had a lockdown point on a covey of quail that I was able to walk up and flush, finally hit one of those rockets. Was good experience for him.
I missed a ridiculous amount of roosters this last week. Very humbling. If anyone wants a 20ga browning silver lmk
