Well it’s been Mardi Gras season, the st Patrick’s day parade this past Sunday. Weather has been shit every weekend for me. Weather was in the 20’s couple weekends ago. This weekend I’m headed to north Mississippi to get Pearls last finished pass where if she passes one of the two test will earn her title. For the record we haven’t training since the beginning of Covid.
As for outdoor activities, Hunter has been fishing here and there. Grass cutting season is here and that’s what keeps him somewhat busy. DJ working at the FD and going crabbing when he can. I only have weekends off.
Things to look forward to is crawfish should start running (don’t even know if I will try) and specks and reds should be heating up if weather straightens out. Work has kept me busy and w these fuel prices I probably won’t even try to kill a Turkey.
The good news is I’m less than a year out from retiring here and will most likely only be semi retired from here on out. My life will consist of traveling w the wife, a lot more fishing and plenty of hunting. I really won’t know exactly till I officially retire and figure out how to reinvent a new life, if that makes sense.
