6* with wind chill here. I only tried to wake him up once. And I didn't try real hard, so I'll take the blame.

This feels more like a January muzzleloader hunt than youth season. This morning may even be too cold for the deer.

Wind chill is 6° here as well. Thank God for hand warmers. Gonna do my best to stick it out until 8:30/9. Doubt I can sit any longer than that. I hope anyone else that’s out is having better luck than me.

19 degrees but I’m toasty . Saw a doe moving at a pretty good pace, followed by a spike. Doe got within 30 feet. Those 2 idiots came by again….spike was grunting the whole way.

3 button bucks a yearling doe and a momma doe. All in the last 15 minutes. Mallory couldn't bring herself to kill a doe with 3 yearlings.

Update on my missing hat and shit: can’t find it anywhere. Checked every pocket of that stupid pack, check my coat and bib pockets, checked my entire truck, check my tote with all my clothes in it. Just redrove almost half the trip back checking the roadside to see if I maybe somehow threw the stuff in my bed and it blew out. No luck. This sucks ass.
