I have don’t have any personal experience with the extreme penetrator style projectile. However, I’ve read read good things about them. Worth a try.

Sorry. Xtreme Defender. Xtreme Penetrator was my nickname back in my single days. 😅.

Are you comfortable with "should be alright"? I guess that would be my question to yourself. If it was just you, I'd say go for it and let us know. Gonna scar that kid if you gotta cut a bitch. Or make a monster out of him🤣

I watch YouTube a lot and I've seen several deer hunt videos cleanly dropping deer with a 9mm . If he puts it in the boiler room you're good to go

Well this should answer this. Sterling hit that buck and I could tell that it was hammered. when it ran by the blind its front end was already dropping and I could tell he'd be plowing leaves in short order.

Top of the heart and lungs. Lungs we're bloodshot and the impact holes were like a normal gunshot. The bullet went in and keyholed on exit which these are known for.

Entrance just behind the shoulder. Hole right below yellow dot. Hell of a bloodshot area for impact. Glad he didn't hit the shoulder.

Exit. Keyholed sideways.

Blood trail was pretty crappy but the deer only went about 30 yards in a dead sprint so it may not have had time to even really start.

I'll say this also. I'm not entirely sure what these rounds are for, but nobody has any business carrying them for personal protection. They will greatly over penetrate and retain 100% of their shape and weight based on the videos I've seen. That deer was shot with a 5 inch barrel pistol that weights 6lbs 3oz and the recoil was still pretty damn snappy with the +p rounds.

That was a great shot , hope he’s not shy of it now

I asked him on the way home if it scared him. He said yeah a little when it went bang. I asked if he would shoot it again and he said "yeah probably" I asked if he would shoot it again to kill another deer and he said "Oh yeah, most defiantly!"

It helps too that I setup the fieldpod so the back of the pistol grip was resting on the riser so it couldn't move rearward. The biggest help was I had him wearing some walkers electronic hearing protection. He could hear me whispering to him but it blocks the gunshot. That was the cats ass because I could still give him instruction.

What is the giant pastry looking thing?

King cake. It's like a cream cheese icing-filled cinnamon roll bread cake. Originated in the old world of France and Spain.

It's served around January 6th which celebrates epiphany (and the start of Mardi Gras), when the three wise men saw jesus. The royal colors of green, yellow and purple represent the three wise men. Each cake usually has a small plastic baby in it which is a nod to baby Jesus. Whoever gets the piece with the baby is king for the day, buys the cake next year, and if you're at a party hosts next year's party.

I guess I'm king for the day and hosting next year as I got the baby at the party we were at earlier before the parade.

Was surprised how many parades they have, and most are family friendly

Oh yeah, there are parades up and down the coast for weeks. When most people think of Mardi Gras they think of Nola with all the drunks and tits. That's just a bunch of tourists, most locals wouldn't be caught dead in all that bullshit. I just looked and from now through fat Tuesday (21st) there are 23 parades in our three counties along the coast in MS. All but two are during the day and are pretty kid-friendly, there may be some questionable music from floats but the songs are the edited clean versions.
