I think too young would cause problems. They require patience...a lot of patience. A hot head and a heavy hand combined with a dog that appears to be on meth is not good! I've seen people lose their marbles with Mals. It's a sad scenario. They make the dog super aggressive and then get mad when it turns on them. My wife's dog started that. He was 100 lbs too. I kept warning her to stop giving him more drive. He became too much and she was going to get hurt. He didn't do it out of anger, he was just in beast mode and she was the thing holding him back. I had to reform him and teach him to love. He listened very well after we stopped the bite work.

My female Dutch Shepherd is like a remote control car. My voice is all it takes. I stopped her dead in her tracks when she took off after a deer and her prey drive is astounding.

I just don't have it in me to train another Mal or Dutchie.

Isn’t a “Dutchie” a Mal 2.0? A milder version of them? I passed on one because he was a male, was a helluva a dog and already canine trained but washed out of training for something I don’t remember why. But my niece and her husband got him, he’s one helluva dog. But walk into a dark room and stare into his eyes? That’ll give you chills….

A Dutch is supposed to be a Mal, but more manageable. The scariest dog I've ever seen was a male Dutch. The handler was terrified of him. I don't know what the back story was, I was just staying away from those 2 at training!!!

It is standard to breed a Dutch with a Mal and whatever color they come out is what they are called. We bred our Dutch female with a Mal and got a mixed bag. Both of my dogs pictured had the same father. So, if pure Dutch, maybe they are calmer, but they sometimes have the same amount of crazy.

I've been watching a pregnant doe every night. She has been huge. Tonight she looked like she lost a few pounds! I have an idea of where sbe may have dropped them. Sitting at my dinner table I saw this fucker walking back to where I think it is and I heard a snort. I have never seen it before and with fawns down, here it is. What to do with Mr. Bobcat?

Mistake number one: you made it publicly known. I guess the bobcat gets to live. Or maybe you can stand guard of the fawns and shoo it away. 🤣

I guess I didn't realize how rare they are. I mean I knew it wasn't common to see them, I've never seen one in person before. I wouldn't do anything to it. Not like a dime a dozen coyote.

The wife wants a grooming salon in our garage. Tub, exhaust fan, some sort of AC. The icing on the cake is she wants a washer and dryer in the garage too for dog towels and my dirty work clothes.

Luckily there is water and a drain pipe right on the other side of the house wall in the basement.

Started on the wall last weekend. Got it framed, drywalled, taped/joint compounded and primed by this weekend. I want to get the 2 car side done first so I can move everything to that side.
