We are going with nice calm German Shepherds from here on out. We will find a nice Czech line of GSD. We did the whole Malinois thing and it was fun...but not again! You get a line on a Mal pup yet?

Mal’s are great security dogs. If’n I was younger I’d have one! But shepherds are my go too!We are going with nice calm German Shepherds from here on out. We will find a nice Czech line of GSD. We did the whole Malinois thing and it was fun...but not again!
Isn’t a “Dutchie” a Mal 2.0? A milder version of them? I passed on one because he was a male, was a helluva a dog and already canine trained but washed out of training for something I don’t remember why. But my niece and her husband got him, he’s one helluva dog. But walk into a dark room and stare into his eyes? That’ll give you chills….I think too young would cause problems. They require patience...a lot of patience. A hot head and a heavy hand combined with a dog that appears to be on meth is not good! I've seen people lose their marbles with Mals. It's a sad scenario. They make the dog super aggressive and then get mad when it turns on them. My wife's dog started that. He was 100 lbs too. I kept warning her to stop giving him more drive. He became too much and she was going to get hurt. He didn't do it out of anger, he was just in beast mode and she was the thing holding him back. I had to reform him and teach him to love. He listened very well after we stopped the bite work.
My female Dutch Shepherd is like a remote control car. My voice is all it takes. I stopped her dead in her tracks when she took off after a deer and her prey drive is astounding.
I just don't have it in me to train another Mal or Dutchie.
My buddy has a Dutchie, named Phoenix. Shes gorgeous but crazy.Isn’t a “Dutchie” a Mal 2.0? A milder version of them? This one was named Zeke. They need constant workouts too keep their minds focused and energ drained too keep them on an even keel…. They’re definitely not couch potatoes….My buddy has a Dutchie, named Phoenix. Shes gorgeous but crazy.
Mistake number one: you made it publicly known. I guess the bobcat gets to live. Or maybe you can stand guard of the fawns and shoo it away.I've been watching a pregnant doe every night. She has been huge. Tonight she looked like she lost a few pounds! I have an idea of where sbe may have dropped them. Sitting at my dinner table I saw this fucker walking back to where I think it is and I heard a snort. I have never seen it before and with fawns down, here it is. What to do with Mr. Bobcat?

I guess I didn't realize how rare they are. I mean I knew it wasn't common to see them, I've never seen one in person before. I wouldn't do anything to it. Not like a dime a dozen coyote.Mistake number one: you made it publicly known. I guess the bobcat gets to live. Or maybe you can stand guard of the fawns and shoo it away.
